Entrance into the Kingdom of God is not automatic. The condition for receiving the dividend of the sacrifice of Jesus is admission of guilt – that is, admission of your need of a Saviour and acceptance – an act of faith. This is based purely on what God has said. So you have to trust what God has said about His salvation, about His Son. Accepting or rejecting the sacrifice of Jesus determines where you will end up in eternity.

As we fix our gaze on God who has creative ability sleepless vigilance and comprehensive protection – protective power we will be turned into a people who will effectively carry out God’s mandate in our sick society. Herein lies the substance of our expectations.

The preciousness of a good name cannot be underestimated. I want us to remember that at the end of life a good name is the most precious thing you will leave behind. Let me say it again: At the end of life a good name is the most precious thing you will leave behind. And a good name is the most precious thing you will go with. Nothing else!

The marks of a loving person who bears the name Christian.

You are ready to say sorry when you offend people. You are ready to forgive. You do not tear people down in order to toss yourself up. You speak the truth in love. You do not call what is wrong right and what is right wrong. And even when you see something that somebody is doing wrong you do not talk about it with glee – you talk about it with tears.

What is the source of your expectations? Remember that the source of your expectations determines how great your expectations will be. If your expectations are placed in things or in people you don’t have great expectations. But if your expectations are placed in God Jehovah the Self-existent God, the Self-sufficient God, then you can say, that your expectations are really great.

Let me share this final secret with you before we close for the day. Give God what is in your hand; no matter how insignificant He can turn it into obstacle-moving instrument.

Don’t regret doing the right thing. God will recompense you handsomely.
