In obedience to the command of God, in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – let us all those who are unhappy and those who are happy with 2016 give thanks to God for having given us access to the Old Year and a peak into the New Year. As we leap into 2017, let us trust God to give us a spiritual lift, an emotional lift, a social lift and an economic lift…in Jesus’ Name.

When you are committed to God you have earthly rewards here and now; and you will have eternal rewards greater in the future.

When you are committed to God you are respected by others. People respect those who are committee to God; and if you are committed to God you will find that your life will bring changes in the lives of people. When you are committed to God you will bring hope to the hopeless.

And finally, when you are committed to God, God will honor you in return, and your commitment honors Him.

Are you a bondservant of Jesus Christ? You become a bondservant of Jesus Christ the moment He redeems you from slavery of sin in the experience of the new birth. Have you had this experience of the newbirth? Have you had this experience of becoming a bondservant of Jesus Christ? If you have not, today is your day. And please make sure that you do. And if your experience of the newbirth is genuine you will say yes indeed, I am a bondservant of Jesus Christ. And if you say, yes indeed, you are then your life is no longer your own for He paid a very high price for your life.

Jesus was free to walk away from judgment; for He was free from sin. But out of love for the Father and out of love for mankind He chose to offer Himself as a bondservant in order to pay the debt for the sins of the world.

Dear child of God, do you want to please the Master in times like these? Pay serious attention to the Word of God.

What does times like these mean? From the above scriptures, the following are clear regarding the times in question:

We are in the times already – as indicated by latter times, in 1 Timothy 4:1;

In the last days, 2 Timothy 3:1;

And in the last time Jude 18.

All the steps that Jesus ever took when He was here on earth were ordered by the heavenly Father. Any time He got up to go somewhere it is with a purpose. And somebody has observed that when you read the Gospels you find that Jesus is either going to someplace to bless somebody, to heal somebody, to forgive somebody’s sins; or He’s coming from having done so.

God sent His son into the world as an answer to man’s problem of sin and suffering.

Finally, a Christian with a heavenly vision will carry out the vision from heaven; and by so doing you will discover that he or she delivers. That is, he or she does not disappoint the Lord Jesus Christ.

lt is a contradiction for anyone to claim to have experienced the light of God's salvation from heaven and yet he or she is not transformed. Reformation is not enough; you must become a new creation, new not in the sense of something most recent, but new in the sense of something entirely different, something out of this world, if you please. No pun intended.
