The Mavericks Project is BACK!
It's been a long two months, and I could not be more overjoyed by the sheer amount of email I received from all of you wondering where the show went. I made sure to get into that in today's episode.
Episode 021 is a good one. I just finished reading "The 5 Second Rule" by Mel Robbins where she explains that humans have built-in safety features in their brains to only consider taking action on something for 5 seconds. After that, it's back to business as usual.
So many people never get started realizing their entrepreneurial ambitions because they never take deliberate action when these critical moments arise. This episode dives into a little of the science behind WHY this happens, and what to do WHEN it happens in the future.

In case you're just tuning in, we're spending 4 episodes covering Collin's DAMN Good Business System.
DAMN is an acronym that stands for: Delegate, Automate, Meditate, and Necessitate, and is the system Collin uses to teach entrepreneurs how to build and grow sustainable, profitable businesses that can run without constant babysitting from its owners.
Today's lesson covers the concept of Automation. What does it mean to include automation into your business? Is it entirely technology focused, or does it have to do with business systems as well?
In short: both!
Join Collin as he talks through approaching Automation and the results it can bring to your organization.

Welcome back to another great 1-on-1 episode of The Mavericks Project!
In the next four episodes, we will be discussing Collin's DAMN good business system and what it means for you and your business.
DAMN stands for: Delegate, Automate, Meditate, and Necessitate, and is the system Collin uses to teach entrepreneurs how to build and grow sustainable, profitable businesses that can run without constant babysitting from its owners.
Today's lesson covers the concept of Delegation. How does an entrepreneur (especially while he or she is just starting out) go about delegating tasks and responsibilities away? Do they use a virtual assistant? If so, isn't it expensive?
Join Collin as he talks through approaching Delegation and the results it can bring to your organization, regardless of the size.

On this episode, host Collin Graves talks to entrepreneur and bestselling author Brandon Vallorani about why it's so important to slow down, reflect, and take the time to enjoy life's privileges.
Any entrepreneur will tell you that building a business is full of challenges. But according to Brandon, finding your "Mandolin Moment"--that activity you can turn to in order to take your mind off of your business--will actually help you find even more success.
When it comes to funding a startup, there are typically two competing philosophies: bootstrapping and raising venture capital.
According to Colin Vincent of Equity Directory, there's a third way that many business owners don't take enough advantage of, and that's leveraging your company's equity to get your early product built.
Equity Directory is an invite-only platform designed to connect entrepreneurs with professionals willing to contribute to a product's development and be compensated with a small amount of equity from that company.
Join Collin Graves as he and Colin dive deep into Colin's background, his experiences building Equity Directory, and how to best leverage equity within your new business.

Building a business is really hard.
Communicating your value to prospective customers is arguably even more difficult.
Most of us stop at talking about "what" we do and "how" we do it when we're speaking with prospects.
According to Jennifer Zick of Authentic Brand, we need to take things one step further: to our "so what".
Join Collin Graves as he and Jennifer dive into her background as an entrepreneur, her experiences building Authentic Brand, and why shifting your message to "so what" is so important for your business.
In this 1-on-1, host Collin Graves talks about "the hardest part of entrepreneurship": just getting started.
This episode lays the groundwork for why taking the first steps toward building your business is the most important thing you can do for yourself and your journey as an entrepreneur.
But getting started isn't easy. There are three main objections associated with taking that first step:
Today's episode is meant to squash all of those objections, and motivate you to get started building your future.
As the visionary of your business, you handle a ton of roles throughout the day. After all: the business is your baby!
According to Mark Winters, entrepreneur and co-author of Rocket Fuel, you are missing a crucial piece to your business: an integrator.
Join Collin Graves as he and Mark dive deep into the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), what it means to be a visionary within your organization, and why adding an integrator is such an important step in the success of your business.
This is a highly-anticipated episode. You won't be disappointed!
In the very first "1-on-1" episode, host Collin Graves discusses the importance of firing clients, when necessary, to actually help grow your business.
Most specifically, this episode covers the following points:
Firing clients is one of the worst parts about being a business owner, but it's hugely important for your business success.
Entrepreneurs have a funny way of pigeonholing themselves into a single particular industry.
"I'm a tech entrepreneur."
"I'm an e-commerce consultant."
"I'm a consumer goods specialist."
But according to Cody McLain, serial entrepreneur and founder of SupportNinja, we shouldn't be afraid to try our hand at something new.
Before Cody founded SupportNinja, he spent many years of his life in the website hosting world, founding several very successful companies along the way. When the time came for him to focus his sights on a new industry, he was terrified!
Join Collin Graves as he and Cody dive deep into his background as an entrepreneur, his journey with SupportNinja, and why switching industries doesn't have to be daunting.
