Chris Johnson is the CEO of Rapid Brands and a prominent entrepreneur known for his appearance on ABC’s hit show Shark Tank. He built Rapid Brands into the United States' fastest-growing microwave cookware company, featuring innovations like the Rapid Ramen Cooker, the Rapid Mac Cooker, and 18 additional inventions. Products are sold in major retailers including Walmart, Target, Kroger, and Amazon, with Rapid Brands exceeding $50M in retail sales nationwide. In December 2023, Johnson sold the Rapid Mac Cooker to one of the largest suppliers of Mac & Cheese in the U.S. and Rapid Brands to a major Amazon Brand Merchant.
The innovation hasn’t stopped there. Johnson is also the Founder of Passive Candidate Pro AI, a technology company that simplifies the hiring process by allowing employers to click, interview, and hire top talent twice as fast and at half the cost. The platform automatically schedules interviews with hard-to-find passive candidates, supercharging the hiring process.
In addition, Johnson founded The Johnson Group in May 2006, a corporate recruiting firm that revolutionizes talent acquisition for the architecture, engineering, construction, and environmental fields. The Johnson Group has developed the Corporate Recruiter Solution (CRS), providing firms with top-tier talent without costly recruiting fees, functioning as an internal corporate recruiter rather than a transactional headhunter. The firm has experienced over 3,100% growth and employs hundreds nationwide.
Johnson graduated from the University of California, Davis, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, OPM 52. He is also a member of YPO (Young President’s Organization), and Strategic Coach, Free Zone.
Johnson is married to his high school sweetheart, Shawna, and they have been together since he was 14 years old. They have four children aged 26, 21, 16, and 11.
