Missing Wolf AKA Tom Hull, was trained as a composer before starting an academic career working closely with Bernie Krause (founder of Wild Sanctuary and forerunner in soundscape ecology). Travelling to profoundly remote environments such as Sugarloaf State Park and Death Valley, Missing Wolf has been capturing soundscapes for the purpose of increasing our ecological data. His current work reflects both practices, working heavily with soundscapes, forming them into incredibly beautiful compositions. His creative work focuses on inspiring artistic and scientific engagement with soundscapes with the ultimate intention of preservation.

Pete Shepherd has had an extensive musical career, from composing and performing as a singer and guitarist, to touring as Bob Geldof’s sound engineer. As he expands upon in the podcast, he revisited university which propelled him into becoming a lecturer at Falmouth university and into beginning his journey through the word of sound art. He displays an impressive sense of aesthetic with his skilled manipulation of recordings to create an atmospheric sound environment. One of the most interesting aspects of his work is his ability to actualise a concept into a piece of art.

Inka Upendo is a young and talented musician, composer, producer and performer of what she reluctantly describes as 'noir pop'. A combination of technology driven beats and instruments combined with layered and manipulated vocals and acoustic guitar. Inka came to the UK to study music on an Erasmus programme but has stayed to continue her career as an artist. She has played many successful gigs across the UK as well as many other countries, all of which were well received. While her career is still in its infancy, she is on the path to becoming a renowned artist.

Rich File started DJing in the 90’s drum and bass scene in Hackney and got signed to Mo’ Wax. He released albums with James Lavelle as part of UNKLE, a triphop group, who also scored the music for Sexy Beast. He went on to be part of We Fell To Earth alongside Rae Fowler. He’s worked with names as big as Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and Bryan Eno. Since this episode he has released a new album under his own name.
