On this episode of RVA Bike Scene, I’m sharing my recent interview with Sam McKelvey, the new Executive Director of the Virignia Capital Trail Foundation. Sam took over from Cat Anthony, who held the post for about 8 years. Cat is now the ED at the Virginia Public Access Project, which is a non-profit resource about all things regarding elections in the state.
Anyway, I talk to Sam about where he came from, what he hopes to do with the Capital Trail, including shepherding in a new extension into Williamsburg, and about if he’s biked the trail yet. If you’d like a shortened version of this, you can read my article about Sam in the Virginia Mercury .
Also, I’ve included my interview with Will Gillette, the new director of trail development–and we nerd about trail extensions.
