She is board-certified in general, child/adolescent, and forensic psychiatry and also has a perinatal psychiatry practice. Dr. Wakefield is licensed to practice medicine in Texas. Dr. Wakefield believes in a patient-focused, multi-disciplinary approach utilizing the latest technologies and evidence-based treatments. Dr. Ashley Sturgeon is a West Texas native who met her husband, a farmer, when she came to Texas Tech to major in Animal Science. She graduated with her MD from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in 2010 and completed her Residency in Dermatology and Fellowship in Mohs Surgery at Texas Tech University. Dr. Sturgeon is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery, and has been a practicing dermatologist in Lubbock since the completion of her training. About Dr. Haley Hughston: 

Dr. Hughston is board-certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  Dr. Hughston attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine from 2011-2015 where she obtained her medical degree. She then went on to attend the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio where she completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship in 2021. She served as the chief cardiology fellow from 2020-2021 at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. She is also board-certified in Adult Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Hughston is a Lubbock native at heart. She grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High School. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Adam, and their two daughters
