and then, ......

Pauls heart...his actual heart stopped working due to drug abuse.  Dude literally does not have a pulse. He now carries a mechanical heart with him as he waits for a heart donor. As a complication of the mechanical heart, he just had a stroke, and is now hospitalized. 

On my 2nd visit to him, I decided to bring my microphone, and we recorded this show.  We may do a series...we'll see. 

Paul has vowed to turn it all around, and live a good clean life of contribution and service to others...and he's off to a good start. 

Paul and I served together in the 3rd BN PPCLI for a short time, but I remember him well. 

He is a very interesting and colorful character who has some pretty incredible stories to share.

This interview was very much "stream of consciousness" in format. His thoughts were sporadic, but his insight and self reflection was truly amazing to witness. 

Sound qualilty on this episode isn't great due to technical difficulties on location in the hospital.  Sorry about that folks.

To keep a promise to his disabled father, Dana Meise walked the ENTIRE trans Canada trail, to all 3 Oceans for a total of 21.000 Km's.
