Jimmy was living in the local marketplace when Mercy Ships crewmembers met him.  

Johnette Poole and her husband Johnny started a nonprofit called Hooves and Halos in Winnsboro, Texas. 

Mercy Ships volunteer crew member Peter Ainsworth got a surprise phone call onboard the Africa Mercy. The previous year he had worked with a local day-worker called Louis Regin of Cameroon.

Windsor volunteers onboard our hospital ship in the Communications Department. She describes how someone showed appreciation for the crewmembers. 

The patients who come to our hospital ship have nowhere else to turn. Their gratitude is touching and inspiring.

The village in Guinea, West Africa, was thrilled when their doctor came back from our hospital ship, the Africa Mercy. It had been a change from his normal routine. 

DeAndra Warren is a school resource officer in Wynne, Arkansas.  He protects hundreds of students — kindergarten through high school.  

It didn’t take long for volunteer Tammy Dunne — an Australian mother of three — to have her heart stolen by a sweet little girl.
