Jean Burgmeier of Dubuque, Iowa, is afraid of heights. As a child, her parents warned her to stay away from Eagle Point Bluffs.

Erich Orrick is a retired veteran who received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He’s also the founder of Wish for Our Heroes, which assists service members who are coming home.

A Mercy Ships volunteer shared an unforgettable experience. 

Kelly Long of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, was shopping at a bookstore in town when she locked her keys in her car. The owner of the bookstore and his wife graciously offered to babysit Kelly’s children while she solved her key problem.

Little Aicha spent her entire 18 months of life in darkness.  She’d never seen the world around her. She’d never seen her mother.
