Several Mercy Ships crew visited a children’s hospital in The Gambia. 

Breakfast onboard our hospital ship, the Africa Mercy, is served at 6:30. The dining room crew wake up before the crack of dawn to begin preparations—brewing fresh coffee, wiping down the tables, setting out trays of oatmeal, eggs, and other breakfast foods.

It was Easter 2019. Eleven-year-old Danny Agee had a brain tumor and needed immediate surgery. 

Volunteers from over 40 countries come to our hospital ship with a common goal — to love and serve people who feel different, rejected, and alone.

One of the joys of serving onboard our hospital ships is meeting our incredible patients and their families. 

Michele was pulling into a Sam’s Club parking lot. A car cut her off, and the female driver gave a rude hand gesture. 

Every Friday morning, Miss Beth and her kindergarten class promenade throughout our hospital ship.  

Physical therapy is essential to the successful recovery of many of our surgical patients.  

Kerry Norton is a labor and delivery nurse. Dr. Colene Arnold is an obstetrician-gynecologist.

Mercy Ships goes to some of the poorest countries in the world to offer free medical care.
