Over a thousand people came to the Mercy Ships patient screening in Benin, West Africa.  All hoped to be healed.

The congregation at the Nameoki United Methodist Church in Granite City, Illinois, were told to come prepared for a special offering.  Then the church ordered pizza from Domino’s.

It was 2007 in Nairobi, Kenya.  Kenton Lee was walking with some kids.  There was a little girl next to him, and her shoes were much too small for her feet.

Five-year-old Esther screamed out in terror as the nurse took blood for the tests.  The girl’s mother said, “She’s afraid of needles.”

Some years ago, our Mercy Ship docked in Guinea, West Africa.  On the weekends, the crew visited children at a United Nations Home for Refugees.  Civil war in neighboring Liberia and Sierra Leone had displaced and severely traumatized these children.
