Missionary Jon Erikson brought 15 patients from remote areas of Guinea, West Africa, to our Mercy Ship.   Unfortunately, a 34-year-old woman named Seni had a facial tumor that had invaded her skull and needed longer-term treatment.

Florida police office Bobby White responded to a complaint about youth playing basketball too loudly.  But he didn’t scold the kids or break up the game.  Instead, he joined them and promised to come back for a re-match.

Smelling blood, the tiger stalked the small band of wounded American soldiers on a jungle hilltop.  But the tiger was a good thing.  The North Vietnamese were afraid and moved back.  The American soldiers escaped, and army helicopters rescued them the next day.

Romino is a three-year-old bundle of energy.  And he doesn’t let his bowed legs stop him from having fun!  But he does hear the whispers of the other children calling him “bancale,” the French word for bowed legs.  

Vivabet was distraught at the birth of her fourth child.  The baby’s tiny face had a gaping hole under her nose.  The shocked villagers made cruel comments about her baby’s bilateral cleft lip and palate.

Torrential rains hit East Texas, and many homes were flooded.  Nancy had water in the basement of her housee.  But mercy came to her rescue. 

It was a quiet African evening in the hospital ward of the Mercy Ship.   Khalisile, a 76-year-old cataract patient scheduled for surgery, sat with his head in his hands.  Crewmember Warrie sat down beside him and told him about God’s love.

Ed Robinson of Niles, Indiana, had been diabetic for many years.  He had a stroke in 2005.  The stroke combined with the diabetes negatively impacted his kidneys, and he went into renal failure.
