Today is International Day of the Seafarer.  Our deck crew, engineers, and stewards keep things running smoothly so our hospital ship can function.

Mercy Ships volunteer Mirjam first saw little Siara at a patient screening in the Congo.  The one-year-old baby weighed just 7 pounds and had a cleft lip and palate.

A man was installing large stone steps in his backyard.  His five-year-old daughter begged to help.  He suggested that she sing a song to encourage him.  She said, “No.  I want to HELP!”

Casimiro Rodriguez was homeless on the streets of McAllen, Texas.  His family had kicked him out because of his addiction to drugs and alcohol.  He decided to escape it all by getting on the first bus he could find.
