Some how the conversation turns to another ancient art , that of celebrity spotting . 
As both Andrew and Richard have had celebrity encounters while at work , the rules were these were spottings that took place in the wild .
Richard is not a fan of asking for photos , his partner is . While in the US this lead to getting a unique set which even he appreciates .
Occasionally Richard has broken his own rule .
Andrew is quietly envious , especially as he recounts a terrible celebrity spotting which is only slightly redeemed years later by current events .
Richard has had an awkward encounter with a then very famous tennis player
If clothes maketh the man , what then of shoes ?
Richard has been wearing the new shoes his partner got for him & he has noticed a certain change in himself .

The magic of communication thru different languages is discussed. Except it only seems like magic to some Australians , a lot of people speak more than one language ,this is also discussed. 
This topic came up as Richard confessed that during lockdown he has achieved nothing . Certainly, he hasn't learnt a language .
He did try to help his partner in her unending war with the possums who eat her plants .
His partner didn't ask for help , it turns out that Richard has actually made things worse .
Andrew is completely unsurprised . 
Andrew lives on the bare minimum number of shoes . His method of choosing shoes will astound you . Caught between young folk  and older staff at Uni, he turns to Richard for guidance in the world of appropriate new shoes .
For last weeks podcast , a picture of a "spork" was used to promote the episode on social media . Richard is a huge fan of the combo device .
It may explain where his idea for something innovative in the bedroom came from .

Richard is not his usual self .
 His city has had to go into its fourth lockdown while Andrew skips around . Richard is taking it badly , it actually gets quite dark. Suffice to say, don't tell him he's got this .

Andrew begins to talk about emotional eating ,Richard agrees he gets emotional whenever he eats too .

Trying to change the subject Andrew explains the pitfalls of not being in lockdown .He manages to makes something ordinary the act of a madman .
This leads into song lyrics , then concerts ,then buying a memento t-shirt at the concert .

Richard has got wind of a change to World Vision and its more than his fragile mindset can bear . Andrew manages to completely misunderstand the main message of World Vision .
Desperate to again change the subject before Richard starts weeping , Andrew topically brings up some world news regarding China .
They both offer their insights.
This goes about as well as you'd imagine .
Caught in the whirlpool of Richards ennui , Andrew is dragged in and starts to lose control about the goings on at his beloved football club.
His misery does manage to cheer Richard up .

Drinks ,dressing gowns and ornate drinking cups are discussed.

This morphs into Richards vision for a bar. Its quite detailed. Even down to the theme nights .

Naturally the talk then turns to your Elvis song for karaoke.

Andrew tries to show he's way more clever than we think and fails dismally.
He does have a strength , however, and its his ability to remember names.
The method he uses is frightening & strange but also effective.

This is important because Richard is hopeless with names, while recognising their importance. So he constantly panics about the important thing he can't remember.
He describes a recent incident to illustrate his problem. 
it all goes down hill from there .

A thrill packed episode that comes with a warning - Richard gains insight into how to live.

Andrew loves the power of operating "force quit' on programs . Richard just loves the sound of the words together and imagines ...well quite a bit .

In a discussion of ending things the movie techniques of " it was all a dream " Vs " it's a multiverse with many realities " are discussed.

This is partly because Uni is back again & Andrew is immersed in all things film ,and making a better fist of fitting in .

It turns out the last part isn't true .

Richard has some surprising mattress news and frets about his process in getting a COVD vaccine. Andrew helpfully explains what's wrong in Richard's life . All Richard hears is that   Andrew thinks he's James Bond .

Ultimately in Andrew's words, Richard has found an ace that he can keep .

Do people listen to albums anymore ?Richard & Andrew discuss. Richard has recently listened to an entire album, not exactly a current or even popular one .

The choice of music when going to or from a gig is talked thru, Richard & Andrew are opposites in their choices .

Andrew mentions a recently deceased celebrity. Richard is confident because he knows who Andrew means - except he doesn't . Fortunately Andrew knows Richard's one so the moment is saved .

Richard has had a brush with a happy ,friendly stranger. The fact that it was a conman doesn't seem to dent his warm feelings , which makes him ponder a number of things .

Richard is outraged because a brilliant parenting technique ,that he is terribly proud of , has backfired on him years later . He is now being trained by his son who is using the technique against him 

Now isn't it ironic ?

Andrew has been drinking . He never drinks & isn't good at it . He's chosen Chinese beer, why ?Who is he drinking with ?  There's a lot to unpack .

He is still able to pick Richard up on a terrible mistake from last weeks episode .
Unfortunately , fixing the mistake doesn't lead us to any real conclusion ,rather it appears like the beginning of a quest .

Richard has been to the movies - Mortal Kombat to be precise .He has some thoughts .
He also reveals the behaviour he found odd among the young people he went with . Naturally, he checks with Andrew who studies with young people  . Naturally Andrew is of little or no help .

Richard had a weekend away with his partner . It was relatively incident free, although there are some useful warnings about fire .
He also had time in a day spa where he was alone with his thoughts -this turns out to be a mistake . We learn a great lesson ,don't ever get Richard to record the music for your day spa.

Andrew is back doing stand up gigs ,which are going well but now he needs help with what to do when people want photos. Say yes & smile you'd think but it's not that simple.

Richard ,of course , has a series of rules & coping strategies to assist Andrew.

Some how this strays into autographs which in turn gives us a frightening insight into what Andrew writes on group work cards.

Andrew has several ideas for show merchandise , not all of them are excellent .

Richard gives some examples of his pet hate , the interview junket. Not all of his recollections are accurate , but it doesn't seem to stop him .
