So many questions  this week.

( Hint: If the Trainer is in fact your Son, the likely answer is yes )

And finally, we have a breakthrough on the 
" Great John Landis Film Controversy ".
What the hell was the movie Richard was actually watching, and did he really berate John Landis?  The answer will shock and surprise you. 

Do people listen to albums anymore ?Richard & Andrew discuss. Richard has recently listened to an entire album, not exactly a current or even popular one .

The choice of music when going to or from a gig is talked thru, Richard & Andrew are opposites in their choices .

Andrew mentions a recently deceased celebrity. Richard is confident because he knows who Andrew means - except he doesn't . Fortunately Andrew knows Richard's one so the moment is saved .

Richard has had a brush with a happy ,friendly stranger. The fact that it was a conman doesn't seem to dent his warm feelings , which makes him ponder a number of things .

Richard is outraged because a brilliant parenting technique ,that he is terribly proud of , has backfired on him years later . He is now being trained by his son who is using the technique against him 

Now isn't it ironic ?

Andrew has been drinking . He never drinks & isn't good at it . He's chosen Chinese beer, why ?Who is he drinking with ?  There's a lot to unpack .

He is still able to pick Richard up on a terrible mistake from last weeks episode .
Unfortunately , fixing the mistake doesn't lead us to any real conclusion ,rather it appears like the beginning of a quest .

Richard has been to the movies - Mortal Kombat to be precise .He has some thoughts .
He also reveals the behaviour he found odd among the young people he went with . Naturally, he checks with Andrew who studies with young people  . Naturally Andrew is of little or no help .

Richard had a weekend away with his partner . It was relatively incident free, although there are some useful warnings about fire .
He also had time in a day spa where he was alone with his thoughts -this turns out to be a mistake . We learn a great lesson ,don't ever get Richard to record the music for your day spa.

Andrew is back doing stand up gigs ,which are going well but now he needs help with what to do when people want photos. Say yes & smile you'd think but it's not that simple.

Richard ,of course , has a series of rules & coping strategies to assist Andrew.

Some how this strays into autographs which in turn gives us a frightening insight into what Andrew writes on group work cards.

Andrew has several ideas for show merchandise , not all of them are excellent .

Richard gives some examples of his pet hate , the interview junket. Not all of his recollections are accurate , but it doesn't seem to stop him .

A random listener is given a shout out, listen carefully because it may be you.

Andrew should be terribly relaxed because Uni is over for another semester .But it turns out he is still wound up . Of course he is .

We find out a little of what causes tension at Uni ( who has arguments about the opening to Sound of Music?) . He claims he is unable to fully relax because he is denied his usual outlets .

We discuss those outlets , they involve stand-up comedy during a Festival in another country , living in a flat full of comedians and ...terrifyingly rare brands of chilli sauce .
He discusses the brands in some detail , Richard is appalled but is assured its not made up .
While that may be so , you will not feel comfortable .

To desperately shift topics , Richard has an update on his car repairs . Significantly ,he gets good advice from his son . Is this the dawn of a new era ? Can Richard now rely on his children to guide him ?
Andrew has some questions , are the children wise or do they just know how to deal with Richard?

Richard kindly checks in on Andrew's welfare as he is in the final weeks of his Semester.
Andrew hasn't slept 

Richard is hated (actively) by an animal, he asks the question "has an animal ever really hated you - personally?"
Richard goes on to describe the nature of the enmity. It makes for chilling listening .

Andrew shares that he had an incident but used the teachings of the Podcast to help him thru. All of us are startled by that .
It involved a car which is a coincidence because Richard was in a car accident. Don't  worry he's fine, but it has made him doubt the service team at his garage .

Richard had hopes for a real relationship with a Tradie . He decided to take it slow however now may have been ghosted .
Andrew gives Tradie relationship advice which isn't helpful but does reveal what happens to Andrew's mind without sleep 

Richard is a bit jangled as he has just come from the Dentist .
He ,surprisingly ,didn't enjoy being hurt & having to pay for it .Naturally ,this makes Andrew think of B & D ,a confusing discussion follows .

Richard also had to return to a restaurant where there was some awkwardness. A brisk conversation on the expiry date for prominently displayed restaurant  awards takes place.
What is the maximum display length permitted ? 
Andrew says five years .
But does this apply to everything ? What about the Nobel peace prize ?
Be careful what you put in your mouth.
We find out what became of Andrews revolution at Uni .
Film fight scenes are discussed, favorites are analyzed . 
Obviously , this brings us to a story about Charlize Theron .

It's raining in the Gold Coast but disappointingly Andrew's lift is still working .
It's also the start of AFL season & the rules swing wildly this time of year . Andrew is bang up for it.
He gently asks Richard just how into AFL he is . " A bit" Richard replies but then explains in more detail.
The revelations will both shock and terrify you.
A discussion of spiders leads to wasps leads to bees. We learn some  good advice when dealing with bees.  We also learn how to pick up spiders safely. Honestly, that's more learning than the previous episodes combined.
Andrew feels his age & experience is winning out a Uni as he ferments revolution.
He then goes on to explain a number of issues Richard is having due to age, Richards counter argument would've been stronger had he not lost track of what he was saying .

Do we ask each other about our levels of hydration too much ?  It's the go-to for every ailment ,"how much have you drunk today?"
The handshake is reasserting itself as COVID is beaten back into submissions in Australia. Richard is not happy & analyses why the other options failed 
Andrew analyses nothing ,isn't happy & has an alarming response to the greeting .
The Victorian Premier has taken a tumble which leads Richard to suggest there are 2 types of people in the world .
Richard has had an explosion in his life. The unthinkable has happened , his partner has listened to the episode which may have involved some deception ( Ep 35) .
This is a game changer for both Richard & Andrew.
Richard assures us all is well but a recent gift makes Andrew ask questions.
Especially  as the conversation morphs into Richard using a flaming chain sword .
For some reason Andrew then discusses funerals 
We leave them as Richard brings up issues with his Apple Watch & Andrew delivers a brutal truth .
