Today‘s episode brought me into a space of gratitude, and not specifically because we‘re talking about gratitude although that is a critical part of this conversation. I realized that often when I don‘t have an opportunity to get to know someone in a conversational way, I‘m consuming them in tiny little bits that they‘ve chosen to post or chosen to share. And even if they vulnerably share, there‘s always, always more to the story and more to the human and Amberly Lago let us see that side of her humanness today, as she journeyed back into her areas of tragedy and to her worries and her fears and her pains.

In this episode of F.I.T. Biz Tips, I am at my favorite local coffee house here in Virginia Beach, Sawdust Road. This business is near and dear to my heart, and there are so many reasons why during this time. However, the main thing that I want to talk about today is their convenience factor. And Sawdust Road has utilized this time to actually enhance their business. It‘s blown my mind to see how their sales have skyrocketed, and how they have not had an empty parking lot since day one of COVID.

This is because they‘ve leaned into their convenience factor. With everything going on, they have developed a grab-and-go experience, just like fast food. They also have playgrounds and seating everywhere outside, making it possible to connect over a cup of coffee with friends.
