Is supplementation necessary?
Most people have feeble digestion -> Stress and PPIs
The foods we eat are not nutrient dense-> Doritos and Donuts
Medications and Detox -> thiamin and alcohol
I take most of these supplements on a regular basis. I increase their doses when I travel, I am sick when the flu or the cold is going around, have had less sleep, or I am overall more stressed.
Bitters
I take before every meal to help produce more HCL to improve digestion
I place directly on my tongue to active the vagus nerve
HCL kills microbes
Always take me when I travel for food poisoning
Many of the herbs have detox and immune-boosting properties
I take a dropperful or two before my two largest meals of the day
NAC
The backbone to the most powerful antioxidant Glutathione - come see me for an IV
Needs, Selenium, Magnesium, and Vitamin C
I take 750mg-1500mg a day
Vitamin D
We get this from food and the sun, maybe a correlation why flu season is in the winter
Optimal levels decrease chances Rhinitis, URIs, Sleep Apnea, Otitis Media
NIH upper tolerable limit is 4,000ius daily
I like to live life dangerously and take 5,000ius typically and up to 10,000 when sick or traveling
I check my vitamin D levels via a blood test and keep my levels over 60ng/ml.
