The Game has finally arrived. The Michigan Wolverines are heavy underdogs as they travel to Columbus to face rival Ohio State. While the Buckeyes are one of college football's best teams, they aren't perfect. Patrick Murphy of Bucknuts on 247Sports joins "Behind Enemy Lines" to break down the OSU roster, including shakeups on the offensive line and some familiar names in the secondary, as Ryan Day looks to beat Michigan for the first time since 2019.
In this episode, Zach Shaw and Steve Lorenz break down the Michigan football team’s 50-6 win over Northwestern, and the implications of such an impressive win with a trip to Ohio State looming next week.
They open with a look at Michigan’s offense, which smashed its prior season-highs in points and first downs, and ran for nearly 200 yards in the second half alone. They discuss the importance of the Wolverines finding their physical run game, why the passing game feels replicable moving forward and even look at some younger players who got more touches in the game.
In the second half of the episode, they look at the defense. They discuss Michigan’s sneaky-good defensive play lately, the defensive line’s pass-rushing success and, like on offense, younger players who impressed.
They close with an early peek at Ohio State, whether the Wolverines’ win moves the needle in that matchup and what Michigan must do in the next six days to maximize its upset potential.
In this episode of The Michigan Basketball Insider, Sam Webb and Tim McCormick discuss the Michigan basketball team's ongoing turnover issues and possible remedies moving forward. The conversation then turns to the early season performance by Tre Donaldson and whether they prove he is Michigan’s best player. Nmari Burnett’s strong play is discussed before attention turns to Vlad Goldin’s continued struggles outside of the matchup with Tarleton State. Tim shares his thoughts on the skill sets and likely roles for Sam Walters and Justin Pippen. The episode closes with a discussion of early standouts from across the Big Ten.

Michigan football hosts Northwestern this weekend with an excellent chance to secure bowl eligibility. After an improbable eight-win 2023, the Wildcats have fallen to 4-6 with one of the worst offenses in college football. (But old friend AJ Henning is playing well!) And while the defense returned the majority of its contributors from last season, injuries have plagued that side of the ball.
Tom Gorski of Purple Wildcats on 247Sports joins "Behind Enemy Lines" to give the inside scoop on Northwestern and what to expect Saturday at the Big House.
