Helloooooo and welcome to The Miiiidas Touches (Season 2)
Yes, that’s right - The Midas Touches is back for a second season which promises to be bigger and better than the last so make sure you stay tuned as the next level of horse racing content is fired your way!
Season 2 kicks off with a preview of the racing from Cheltenham, Nass and Lingfield as well as a look back at a great weekend of racing over in America at the Breeders Cup. Also, what better way to start than to cover Charlie’s specialty race, a 2m4f handicap chase… he tipped Midnight Shadow in this last year at 12/1 and looks to have a similar one lined up this time.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!
The Midas Touches is officially 1Yrs old today – the podcast has undoubtedly come a long way in that time and, for this landmark episode, the lads take a look back at what has been a memorable year.
Those looking for red hot tips, however, should not fear as Tris and Charlie still make some time to preview the key action from this weekend in the form of the Vertem Futurity at Doncaster.
It has been such a great ride (no pun intended) so far and we want to take the time to sincerely thank all you guys, our listeners, for your support – you guys are the reason we love this game so much. Enjoy the latest episode and look forward to continuing the journey with you all!
XOXO,
The Midas Touches
Champions Day is finally upon us… it feels like only yesterday the flat season was getting started for 2022 and now we have already reached the finale, but what a day it promises to be.
No doubt there is plenty of stellar action to discuss with 6 races to preview so you better stop reading this and get listening!
After another week of fiery tipping over Arc weekend, the lads are back to cover action across the English Channel. The headline race will be Cesarewitch at Newmarket where Tris and Charlie agree on one… and when that happens, you should usually take note 🔊
Plenty more top quality racing is covered also along with the hot topics for the week. Let’s see if the lads can continue this great form 🔥 - you do not want to miss this streak!
When you say Paris, some people think of croissants or the Eiffel Tower, but all The Midas Touches think of is the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Paris Longchamp racecourse and it’s clearly not just us who think that way as Arc weekend reportedly has some of our listeners ‘salivating’ - we can see why…
Listen this week as Tris and Charlie take you through the saliva-inducing racing at Paris Longchamp on Sunday including the feature itself. They also preview the Group 1 Sun Chariot in Newmarket on the Saturday. The episode also includes a special cameo from the podcast’s resident French racing expert, Guillaume Heard, who has a strong NAP for you all.
Hugely exciting weekend so be sure to tune in for the lowdown ahead of it.
Merci buckets,
The Midas Touches (bisou bisou)
Back after another small hiatus (been a busy summer for the team 😉), Tris and Charlie preview some good racing from Goodwood and some new racing from Newmarket.
Podcast with a twist this week… the lads talk Reality TV??!? (Well only for a bit).
Don’t worry though, they get swiftly back to talking about what they know best, covering action from the Curragh and Newbury this weekend where the Hungerford is the feature.
It’s been a while without the podcast now due to Tris being on various holidays (does he do ANY work?!) but the lads are feeling particularly bullish about their return to action!
Remember if you cannot / do not want to go a week without our content, do not fear as Tris & Charlie write selections on their weekly blog for LunaFi discord.gg/lunafi or alternatively follow the action on the official Midas Touches Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/themidastouches/!!
Ever wondered what it’s like to own a race horse? Well wonder no more as the lads talk to Clare Alexander of the British Racing Club in this episode to find out what being a racehorse owner is like in the BRC syndicate. They have some hugely exciting horses in training this year and definitely some ones to watch out for so be sure to listen in.
In the first part, the boys are also back to previewing the racing and, with Royal Ascot now comfortably in the rear view mirror, they look ahead to the action from Sandown and Haydock this weekend including the competitive-looking Coral Eclipse.
If anyone wants more info about the British Racing Club then head over to https://britishracingclub.co.uk/ to check it out. Look forward to seeing you all again next week!
XOXO,
The Midas Touches
