The Migs Cast

This week, Migs, The Rev, and Glenn catch up with the great feedback they have recieved regarding Glenn joining the show.  Steve talks about his time in "Minnesoter", Rev chats about his Pook-emon trials and tribulations...which leads to all of the guys talking about times that they have lost the 50/50.  We get a peek inside the world of being in Windowpane, and the exciting stuff coming up for them.

Some other things discussed include how we need to still have a sense of humor in this political world, and how awesome the new Ten Miles Wide CD is (it's called "The Gross", and you can check it out HERE).

The guys flesh out an idea of the ultimate music festival: The Migs Fest.  A festival that will feature some great local bands that have been featured on the Migs Cast.

Finally we check the messages!  You can leave us a message:  [email protected] , or call/text 253-271-4787

This week marks the debut of the newest member of the Migs Cast... Glenn Cannon from Windowpane! On this week's episode they chat about The Rev's Pokemon Go obsession, Migs getting to be on stage to introduce Alice In Chains at the paramount on Friday night, and the time that Glenn got to jam with Jerry Cantrell of AIC!  Migs also talks about how getting to speak in front of 6 people at a class was even more rewarding than speaking in front of 3000 people at the AIC show.  Glenn shares a great story about getting stung by a wasp, and gives great words of wisdom about social media.  The guys show some love for an awesome wrestling podcast called Jobbing Out, which features Steve's buds: Aaron Oster, Glenn Clark, and former Seahawk (and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers) AJ Francis.  We catch up with Mama Hawknado as well.

Huge thanks to Chris Dahl for creating an awesome KISS inspired Migs Cast logo! You are the best bro!

This week we start off a little serious, but then goof around with our usual shenanigans.  The show starts off with Migs wearing his heart on his sleeve, and finding comfort/inspiration in this song by Pearl Jam… “Love Boat captain”.  We have attached the lyrics so that you can understand why the song feels so important now, more than ever.

Pearl Jam: Love Boat Captain

Is this just another day, ... this god forgotten place?

First comes love, then comes pain. Let the games begin, ...

Questions rise and answers fall, ... insurmountable.

Love boat captain

Take the reigns and steer us towards the clear, ... here.

It's already been sung, but it can't be said enough.

All you need is love

Is this just another phase? Earthquakes making waves, ...

Trying to shake the cancer off? Stupid human beings, ...

Once you hold the hand of love, .. it's all surmountable.

Hold me, and make it the truth, ...

That when all is lost there will be you, ...

Cause to the universe I don't mean a thing

And there's just one word I stil believe

And it's

It's an art to live with pain, ... mix the light into grey, ..

Lost 9 friends we'll never know, .. 2 years ago today

And if our lives became too long, would it add to our regret?

And the young, they can lose hope cause they can't see beyond today, ...

The wisdom that the old can't give away

Hey, ...

Constant recoil...

Sometimes life

Don't leave you alone.

Hold me, and make it the truth, ...

That when all is lost there will be you.

Cause to the universe I don't mean a thing

And there's just one word that I still believe and it's

Love, ... love. love. love. love.

(Stephen Colbert monologue)

Love boat captain

Take the reigns, .. steer us towards the clear.

I know it's already been sung, ... can't be said enough.

Love is all you need, .. all you need is love, ..

Love, .. love, ...

Love.
