The Mitch McConnell cover-up just lost the MAGA movement. Scott Jennings went on CNN to sell his fake 20-minute phone calls with McConnell, and fellow conservative Carolyn Sunshine called him a garden-variety conspiracy theorist to his face, while MAGA influencers demand proof of life and his own office refuses to say how he's doing 76 days after the cardiac event. Nobody is buying this lie anymore, and we are not moving on until they show us the truth. Wake the hell up.

Michelle Obama and Jon Stewart just teamed up to expose the shocking fragility behind Donald Trump's presidency. On her podcast, Stewart called out the rampant corruption while Michelle revealed the truth about a man so weak he abuses federal power to silence comedians, cancel late night shows, and attack anyone who dares to challenge him. A president this fragile and this corrupt is on track to get demolished in the midterms. Stay in the fight!

Nellis vs Nellis LIVE — Thursdays at 5pm ET
My dad, Bill Nellis, is back, which means it’s time for another Nellis vs. Nellis—and somehow we agreed on way more than I expected.
We got into Trump’s tariff wars, the exploding cost of beef, Flock cameras and government surveillance, ICE, AI data centers, and what happens to working people if AI really does wipe out millions of jobs.
And yes, we still found plenty to fight about.
[00:01:43] We start with Trump trying to rename Lake Ontario—and my Trump-voting dad immediately admits the whole thing is ridiculous before we get into the much bigger problem underneath it: Trump’s trade war with Canada.
[00:10:03] My dad lives in Nebraska, where ranchers are feeling the consequences of Trump’s policies firsthand. His verdict is pretty simple: Trump says he loves farmers, but “he’s not loving the farmers” with what’s happening to beef.
[00:18:49] Things get heated over Flock cameras. My dad sees an incredibly useful law-enforcement tool. I see another massive surveillance system that can be abused—and we wrestle with where public safety ends and our right to privacy begins.
[00:31:44] We turn to AI data centers, and this is where the politics are getting really interesting. We talk electricity bills, water, farmland, corporate promises to struggling communities, and why both Republicans and Democrats are starting to question whether these projects are worth the cost.
[00:39:01] Then we hit the question underneath the entire AI debate: what happens if there simply aren’t enough jobs anymore? We get into government ownership, universal basic income, job guarantees, and whether America is prepared for the economic disruption coming our way.
This is exactly why I wanted to do Nellis vs. Nellis. My dad and I disagree—a lot—but we actually listen to each other, find places where the politics get more complicated than the talking points, and occasionally discover that we’re not as far apart as we thought. If you’re exhausted by political conversations designed only to make us hate each other, this one is for you.
If you want more independent media that makes room for disagreement instead of outrage for outrage’s sake, help us keep this work going.

Andrew Tate's bid to dodge extradition just collapsed in federal court. After an eight hour bond hearing in Miami, the feds made the case that the Tate brothers are flight risks who belong in detention until they're shipped back to the UK, and lawyer Joe McBride's response was to trot out brand new sympathy talking points that fell apart the second he said them out loud. This whole circus is a window into how money and MAGA connections get used to manipulate our legal system. Don't buy their lies. Stay in the fight!

Andrew and Tristan Tate just told a federal judge in Miami that their entire online persona is a "character," a desperate admission at their bail hearing while they fight extradition to the UK. Tristan took the stand against his own lawyers' advice to whine about roaches and "chemical attacks," while Joe McBride bungled a late filing that Judge Lauren Lewis struck from the record, all while the massive protest they promised drew maybe 20 people. These guys are on tape bragging about fake passports and escape plans, and nobody, not Trump, not Rubio, is coming to save them. Let's hold these guys accountable.

Mitch McConnell's office just put out a statement praising a $26.7 million grant for the University of Kentucky, and it's the first we've heard from him since he left the hospital, but the man himself hasn't been seen in over two months. His own hometown newspaper is now demanding he show his face by September 14th or everyone will be justified in thinking the worst, while his chief of staff Terry Carmack refuses to answer basic questions from reporters. If McConnell can write glowing statements about agricultural research labs, he can pick up the phone and prove he's okay. Wake the hell up.

Hey folks,
Trump’s White House is miserable, Republicans are staring down a brutal political environment, and Democrats have a real opportunity in front of us. But only if we stop letting the right decide what we’re supposed to be talking about.
Jack Cocchiarella and I talked Trump, MAGA’s terrible candidates, independent media, Hasan Piker, AIPAC, the DSA, and what Democrats actually need to do to win
[00:02:24] I preview the debates I’m headed into in Las Vegas—from Trump’s corruption to free speech, political violence, and constitutional rights.
[00:08:04] We dig into Trump’s collapsing political position, his terrible numbers, and why people fleeing his White House should still expect accountability.
[00:13:18] We get into the absolutely disastrous candidates Republicans are putting forward—and why Trump’s grip on the GOP could cost them races they have no business losing.
[00:19:39] Jack and I have a real disagreement about Hasan Piker, antisemitism, Israel, AIPAC, and the responsibility that comes with having a massive political platform.
[00:25:05] We bring it back to the bigger picture: Trump remains the center of the political universe, and Democrats cannot waste this moment by fighting on terrain Republicans choose for us.
This conversation gets funny, uncomfortable, serious, and occasionally a little messy—which is exactly why I think it’s worth watching. We talk about the political opportunity Democrats have right now, but also the independent media ecosystem we need to build if we actually want to shape the conversation instead of constantly reacting to the right.
That independence matters. We can chase stories corporate media ignores. We can disagree without turning every disagreement into a civil war. And we can keep the focus where it belongs: defeating MAGA, holding corruption accountable, and building something better.
If you value honest conversations like this, help us keep them going. Like, comment and share this someone you think should see this.

Trump's DOJ just opened a third front in the Epstein files cover-up, refusing to hand over the unredacted documents to journalist Katie Phang, to New Mexico's only active criminal investigation into Epstein's ranch, and now to UK police investigating Lord Peter Mandelson. Congress passed a law requiring release of every file, and instead your taxpayer dollars are funding obstruction on behalf of the Epstein class. Stay angry, and turn that anger into action at the ballot box.

Andrew Tate just got humiliated all over again from a Miami jail cell, after a pro-Tate account resurfaced a clip of a Romanian reporter grilling him about his arrest and Tate literally running away from her questions. Meanwhile the brothers' bail hearing is two days out, their lawyer Joe McBride is doing PR instead of law, and even MAGA influencers like Benny Johnson and Tim Pool will not touch them because Trump has reportedly given up on saving them from extradition to the UK. Their alleged victims deserve their day in court, and it is finally coming. Wake the hell up.

The cover-up around Mitch McConnell just got more shameless, and the people running it are getting rewarded for it. Politico's Dasha Burns reports Scott Jennings, the CNN pundit who keeps insisting McConnell is fine, is now angling to replace Karoline Leavitt as Trump's White House press secretary, while McConnell's own former chief of staff and everyone else visiting his home refuse to answer a single question about his condition. Two months missing, Kentucky down half its Senate representation, the farm bill stalled, and in Trump's Washington the liars get promoted instead of punished. We are not letting this story go. Wake the hell up.
