Mike Pintek discussed the death penalty’s burden on tax payers and today’s sentencing of former Pittsburgh Police Sergeant Stephen Matakovich, who was found guilty of violating the civil rights of a then-teenager he beat outside of Heinz Field. On the topic of taxpayers’ money, Mike also discussed sexual harassment payouts from Congressman. And former Allegheny County Councilman Matt Drozd called in!

Stoney then heard more from callers about the Edmund Fitzgerald, including one that got to see the ship shortly before it sank.  

Stoney Richards reviewed the results of Tuesday’s elections and shares a story of some insanity on an airplane. Callers gave their opinions on gun control and the NRA.

Mike talked about a whole new reason to distrust Big Pharma: eye drops. Callers discussed the recent NFL owners meeting and continued National Anthem protests prior to NFL games, and Colin Kaepernick’s new lawsuit. Mike also shared what he believes is a perfect solution for the whole thing. 

Mike Pintek talked coffee – a $55 cup of coffee to be exact. He won’t be trying it anytime soon but wonders if Pittsburgh would see more prices like that if Amazon builds its HQ2 here. And a new poll is out that says a majority of American women have experience sexual harassment in various forms.

Mike continues to talk about the Mandalay Bay Massacre, trying to clear up confusion regarding associates of the shooter. Liberals are already calling for more gun control laws and others want stricter security in hotels and casinos, which Mike doesn’t think is reasonable.
