Rob Pratte filled in for Mike Pintek and discussed the GOP Tax Plan that legislators continue to negotiate. And elementary students from the Moon Area School District treated listeners to some Christmas Songs as they celebrated money raised for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh’s Free Care Fund.

KDKA Radio Political Analyst Bill Green joined Mike Pintek to discuss Democrat Doug Jones’s surprising win over Republican Roy Moore in Alabama’s special Senate election Tuesday night. The minority and suburban turnouts, and last month’s election results do not bode well for the GOP and some listeners believe this will be a trend across the country. Jones will not be certified until December 26th at the earliest as Republicans in Congress continue their attempt to pass their tax plan before Christmas while they are still the majority.

Rob Pratte filled in for Mike Pintek and talked to callers about the ongoing investigation into Russian collusion during the 2016 presidential election and a story out of Ellwood City in which a man fatally shot a robber who broke into his home.

It’s Pearl Harbor Day. Mike Pintek shared his own experience visiting the memorial in Hawaii before taking calls about the Republicans’ Tax Reform Plan. Although the final bill hasn’t been decided on, Mike knows enough to believe it is a reform for the rich.

Senator Al Franken addressed the media regarding allegations of sexual misconduct against him; he did not answer questions about resignation. Stoney Richards took calls on Senator Franken’s comments and others accused of similar misconduct.

During the second hour Mike Pintek talked about Charles Manson, and a few random news stories, including one where a man was complaining about a Phoenix being a schools mascot. 

Post-Gazette pop music writer Scott Mervis joined Stoney Richards to talk about Neil Young’s announcement that he will release his entire musical archive line for free high-quality streaming.
