  • MMP 068 : How to Profit from LinkedIn w/ Jimena Cortes
How can I really use LinkedIn to grow my network or business? If you're anything like me, you've pondered that question before. Many of us create LinkedIn profiles in college with the hope that it might help us land an internship or job after graduation. We connect with all of our friends, colleagues, and business connections. Maybe we've even used it as a tool to try to find potential customers or individuals we want to add to our network. But with 500 million users, doesn't it seem like there are better ways to take advantage of this professional platform? To answer that questions, I invited Jimena Cortes onto the show. Jimena is a marketing consultant specializing in LinkedIn lead generation. She is a published author, international speaker, entrepreneur and the founder of Wizard Media and Linked Blueprint. Jimena has taught over 4,000 people worldwide how she gets multi-million dollar companies as her clients by using LinkedIn. She has been mentioned on Inc.com, Entrepreneur.com, and Forbes to name a few. In this episode, we discuss:
    • How companies can take advantage of LinkedIn
    • How individuals can leverage LinkedIn
    • How to connect with high-level contacts on the platform
    • The most common mistakes people make on LinkedIn
    • And more about how to utilize the social media giant to its fullest potential

This week's guest is out of this world... literally. She's been to space! Prior to her role at the Glenn Research Center, Dr. Kavandi was the Director of Flight Crew Operations at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. • MMP 065 : Building an Audience From Nothing w/ Mike Belsito

Mike Belsito is a lot of things. This episode is not my standard Q&A format. After a friendly introduction from a mutual connection, I asked Mike to grab a coffee. Being a podcaster himself, and comfortable in front of a mic, I asked if he would mind if I throw my recorder on the table. This episode is the resulting coffee date. • MMP 064 : NFL Linebacker Jayrone Elliot
From the NFL's Green Bay Packers, I'm joined today by linebacker and special teams extraordinaire, Jayrone Elliot. Back in 2014 when Jayrone entered the NFL draft, things did not go the way he had expected... at all. When all was said and done, his name was never called. He went undrafted. But that minor setback didn't stop this determined and hardworking young player. In his own words, "Don't let anyone write your story. You're the author of your own book." Jayrone not only battled for a spot, but even led the NFL in sacks that pre-season. His story is pretty remarkable, but even more impressive is his mindset and focus.
