I decided to come to Italy on a solo trip for a mix of personal and practical reasons—but most of all, for myself.
Lately, I’ve felt a strong pull to reconnect with me—outside of work, outside of expectations, outside of noise. I’ve been craving stillness, reflection, and the kind of presence that only comes when you’re truly alone with your thoughts. This trip is my way of honoring that need.
Interestingly, the logistics just seemed to click. Flights aligned, accommodations became available, and my schedule opened up in a way that made this feel less like a coincidence and more like a sign. It felt like the universe saying, “Go.”
So I did.
Right now, I’m focused on soaking in every detail—the language, the food, the quiet moments between stops. I’m learning to slow down, to be present, and to let this trip shape me in ways I didn’t even expect.
This is more than a vacation. It’s a pause, a reset, and a promise to listen to myself a little more closely.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me at ca_botti for any questions and stay tuned for part II!
