This week is a very exciting episode where Eoin had the opportunity to sit down with Cormac Ryan to discuss his mental health journey.
A former Dublin county hurler Cormac has dealt with his own mental health challenges culminating in an eating disorder which he is still learning to live with.
His journey to recovery has led him to become an advocate for mental health awareness online with positive messages and updates on his progress across his social media. He also took part is a very eye opening documentary on Irish television which investigated the lives of 3 men suffering from eating disorders,
He now puts his attention to cycling challenges and is soon to embark on his biggest yet - Cycling alone across the United States from West to East. The entire expedition is in aid of Body Whys (an Irish eating disorder charity) and the promotional campaigns around this huge challenge is all centred on mental health awareness.
Cormac is a great guy with a great personal story but whats even better is he has also taken learnings from his experiences to try and help others.\
