    Dave has coached the University's swim team for the past 6 years and has over 15 years experience in coaching and teaching swimming. Additionally, Dave is an ex-swimmer competing for the City of Cardiff under Dave Haller and still holds a Masters Welsh Record. Within the University Dave's roles include Swimming Performance Director, Sports Facilities Duty Manager as well as a university lecturer. Furthermore, he is a Cardiff Met Alumni with a Master's degree in Physical Activity and Health.

    David is Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach at New South Wales Institute of Sport in Sydney, Australia, but our paths crossed on 2 separate occasions. The first being, David was my S&C coach at the Welsh Institute of Sport (Sport Wales as it now called) in Cardiff when I first started in performance sport back in 2006 and then our paths crossed again in 2009 when David was an S&C coach at the time working for the English Institute of Sport (EIS) in Bisham Abbey.
