Pascale Charlot is the President of Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus. Dr. Charlot previously served as Dean of the Honors College, where she improved the quality of the program by developing an innovative equity pathway for first-generation college students.

Not unlike the students she serves, Dr. Charlot, a Haitian-American, had a nontraditional path to her current role. She attained her bachelor of arts in sociology and economics with a certificate in women’s studies from Duke University as a transfer student. She later earned her juris doctor degree from the University of Michigan School of Law. Always looking for ways to bring out the best in others, Dr. Charlot creates the right conditions for people to succeed.

That was Jesus Cruz, CEO and President of unified logistics services. Now to be clear, no one just wakes up and decides to start a logistics company, at least Jesus certainly didn't. Actually, Growing up he was interested in being a veterinarian and after moving from place to place, going from job to job, He found himself with an opportunity which later put him in a position to start his own business. Unlike many, his first couple years of business were smooth sailing... up until he experienced some adversity and was forced to pivot.

Emeritus of Miami Dade College (MDC), having served as its President for almost 25 years. He is credited with elevating MDC, the largest degree granting institution in America, into a position of national prominence among the best and most recognized U.S. colleges and universities. Dr. Padrón earned his Ph.D. from the University of Florida.In 2016, President Barack Obama awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the U.S., for being a prominent national voice for access and inclusion in higher education.
