This week, I’m exploring power, the shadow side of leadership, and what it means to step into sovereignty as a CEO. I share a personal story from Egypt that changed how I relate to power, and I talk about what this means for those of us wanting to lead in a new way.

Power and leadership are complicated words. They’re often mixed up with control and abuse, which can make us hesitate to step into our own power. I see this in myself and in my clients: we either give our power away because we’re afraid of hurting others or we try to hold on too tightly and control everything. Neither approach feels good, and neither is sustainable.

I talk about the need for a new kind of leadership, one that’s not about hierarchy, but about interdependence. We’re moving into an era where leading means knowing your own zone of genius and letting others do the same, so the business becomes a living ecosystem. It’s about having the courage to claim your authority, while also letting go of the need to control every detail.

I share what happened for me in Egypt, sitting with Sekhmet and facing the shadow side of power, recognising places where I’ve misused power before, and realising that holding back out of guilt or fear doesn’t serve anyone. The message I received was that there’s nothing to be forgiven. All those experiences give us the wisdom to use power differently now.

Over the last ten years, I’ve noticed two main reasons for this, and I want to unpack both with you.

A lot of us start businesses searching for freedom, flexibility, time with family, or the ability to choose our schedule while doing meaningful work we love. But at some point, many of us feel trapped instead of free. In this episode, I look at why that happens and how you can shift out of it.

   Someone’s wealth doesn’t guarantee an easy sale. Every conversation is about alignment, value, and connection—not just price.

   I’ve been led through a sales script when I was already a YES and they nearly lost the sale. Don’t force someone through a process they don’t need. Tune in, listen, and trust them if they say they are a yes from the get go. 
4. Struggling with Low-Ticket Doesn’t Mean You Can’t Sell High-Ticket:
   Just because a small offer isn’t landing doesn’t mean your high-value one won’t. Internal alignment with what you’re here to deliver and external alignment with what your clients need matters more.
5. Cheaper Isn’t Always Easier to Sell:
   Low-ticket offers don’t guarantee easy sales. Sometimes, it takes as much energy to sell a $29 product as a $3,000 one, or more! Focus on a business model and on offers that truly feel aligned for you and your people.

  • Back of the heart: Grief and unprocessed emotion live here, especially in the back chambers. It’s where our vulnerability, shadows, and longing to remember our divine nature reside.
  • Sacral space: “Pregnant with possibility.” There’s a sense of something waiting to be birthed—your next level, your legacy—but it’s not quite ready, or fears are holding it back.
• These blocks can show up physically as throat issues, heart tension, or sacral discomfort.
• Reflect: Are you blocking the light coming in, the light going out, or both? Where do you feel these blocks most in your body or life? What’s the next level of your expression, power, or legacy that’s calling you right now?
