Mike shares how he went to Washington D.C. over the weekend and he grabbed food with Pete Wehner. Pete is a Never Trumper that Mike has stayed in touch with for a long time. Some people can’t believe how Trump has upended the GOP and is so different than previous Republican presidents. Also, Mike and Mark both agree that the Chinese spy balloon traversing the whole country was an absolute blunder. Would that Chinese balloon have even showed up if Trump was President? Plus, a new poll came out that shows Democrats don’t even want Joe Biden to run for re-election in 2024. There is an insane prosecution of a man named Douglass Mackey who posted an internet meme suggesting people can vote for Hillary Clinton by text message.

There is a Chinese spy balloon that is flying over the western United States. Mark wants to shoot down the balloon. Mike argues that we should not shoot down the balloon because we don’t want to get into World War 3 with the Chinese. Mike shares how China is close to surpassing America in terms of their nuclear capabilities. Also, is the Chinese spying on Americans through TikTok actually a serious concern? Mark argues that shooting down the balloon won’t start a war with China. Would this be an issue if Donald Trump was the President? Plus, AOC completely lost her mind trying to argue that Ilhan Omar got kicked off her committee because she is a woman of color. Rep. George Santos is stepping down from committees. Mike and Mark share their perspective on Santos.

Also, a Florida bill could hand gun owners a huge win and make the U.S. a constitutional carry-majority country. Mike brings up how the release of the Paul Pelosi 911 call shows how he was trying to talk in code to the dispatcher. Some of the conspiracy theories have now been debunked. The guy who hit Paul Pelosi showed no remorse and even said that he wished he could have done more damage to others. Also, the 5 officers who beat Tyre Nichols were extremely wrong in their actions. Would a white guy have been beaten to death by 5 officers? We’re all obsessed with making this about race, but we have to wonder if this would happen to a white 29 year old. Mike asks who wants to be a cop in today’s America? What kind of training do these officers have? Are there affirmative action hires?
