Hey, folks!
Come and join us for a fun one! Today we're talking about some of the weird sports and sporting competitions around the world (really mostly Finland and England--hey, it's not my fault Finland and England like odd things. Also, can totally relate)
Have you ever wanted to get a free phone just because you threw yours across a field? How about chasing a wheel of cheese down a steep hill? Or maybe you have a hankering for ironing your clothes on the side of a mountain? If any of these things are true, you should probably check these competitions out--you might win and be famous in a small town for a year!
Please send us an email at [email protected] and subscribe and rate us on Apple Podcasts!
And, as always, enjoy the show!

Hey, Folks!
Today we have a sad story from the North End of Boston.
On January 15, 1919, a molasses tank in the North End neighborhood of Boston burst open, creating a destructive wave of molasses and debris that crippled the vibrant neighborhood.
We're going to talk a little about the background of the area, the construction of the tank, and the disaster and aftermath.

Okay, folks, this is a super casual one. You're going to hear a bunch of random trivia and--I'll warn you--a whole bunch of tangents (but you like those, don't you?)
Today, my dad is bringing some random facts to the table and testing my general knowledge...I think I did pretty well, but you can be the judge! How much of these facts did you already know?
Thank you so much for listening. Please send us an email at [email protected] and enjoy the show!!

You know what they always say, come for the tangents, stay for the history lessons.
They always say that, right?
Well, they will someday.

Welcome back, folks!
Today we're going to talk about something near and dear to our hearts....and you'll get a peek at one of Linette's obsessions (There are many. lol).
Today we're going to talk a little bit about Harry Chapin and his music, specifically two songs that mean a lot to both Skip and Linette.
Our main focus today will be the real life story behind Chapin's hit, 30,000 pounds of bananas, and some of the controversy (and our opinion) surrounding its release.
Before listening, it may be helpful to familiarize yourself with Chapin's work, specifically the song. below are links to the studio version and one of his live versions from his concert. After you listen to the episode, feel free to listen to the song again and see if your feelings have changed on the matter
The studio version, from the album Verities and Balderdash:

Today we're going to explore some products that used to be used as medicine. Some you'll know, but some of these may surprise you!
And, yes, this episode contains a lot of tangents. Sue us.
But not really. Don't do that
