Okay, guys, we promise this isn't boring. Well, actually, everyone's perception of boring is probably different, so I guess I can't really say that...but we promise that this isn't any more or less boring than any of our other episodes (?)

(How about that for a glowing review of my own passion project?)

Ok, folks, I know you like the dark stuff....so here's a little more.

This episode, we discuss the dark origins and possible origins of some of our most well-known nursery rhymes. Will we find some hidden meanings behind the seemingly innocuous children's rhymes? Or, will we discover that people with a lot of time on their hands often try to hard to come up with an interesting origin story?

Maybe we'll discover a little of both?

Language is such an interesting thing. Not only are the words we use important to understanding each other, but our use of idioms and time-tested sayings can say a lot about our history and the ways we communicate ideas.

This was a really surprising one for me (Linette) because over the course of our research and our conversation, I learned so much about this guy and gained such an appreciation for who he was as a baseball player, a dad, and just an all-around decent man.
