I'm sure by now, you must have heard about the power of morning routines.

And even though sometimes talking about them makes me cringe, people still ask me all the time behind closed doors what my routine looks like.

I get why they want to know that though, if you start off your day in a way that fuels you to get after it, it's so much easier to string weeks, months and even years of progress together.

But if you don't, its so easy to talk yourself out of it and not take ownership of your morning, and then feel like you're off track for the entire rest of the day.

Which is why today, Teresa and I wanted to share our super simple morning routine, that will have you leading your day by telling it where to go, instead of waiting to get steered in whatever direction the WORLD wants you to go!

Constantly thinking you need to take more action is the worst way to make a real impact in your life.

Marc, what are you talking about?!?!?

I get it, we have been programmed to think that the harder we work the more impact we can make.

I mean, when you first get started with anything, simply taking action gets you some initial results.

So it's only natural for us to think that if we want MORE results, we have to take MORE action, right?

But let me ask you. Does everyone who work hard make a huge impact? 

Clearly working harder does not guarantee you will be more impactful.

If you wanted to get into better shape, would you spend 5 hours in the gym instead of 1?

Eat even less food?

If you did (and trust me, I tried it), you'd either hurt yourself or go down the path of being even more unhealthy.

And this is the same thing that happens we we use these tactics in other areas of our lives.

So what does work then?

That's the purpose of today's episode.

The thought that success is up to you, is actually hurting you.

I get it.

You've been told to "take ownership" and I totally agree with that advice too.

But taking it to the Nth degree, to where success is only up to you, is most likely not helping your future.

I was having a conversation recently with someone who reminded me that this thought never served me when I used to think it too.

Now I'm not saying that everyone is going to feel this same way, but after having thousands of coaching calls where this topic comes up, I've found the majority of time it actually gets you off track even though it might feel great when you start to say it.

Think about it like this... If it's up to you, it's so easy to convince yourself to go at it alone.

And if you're alone, you're stuck doing what you've always done.

Which means you'll keep getting what you've always gotten.

Before you know it, your belief in yourself drops off the face of the planet... But it has noting to do with your potential.

It was just the "story" you were telling yourself.

Are online leadership training programs worth it?

You have probably seen the number of online courses and programs that are out there right now.

Obviously there must be something to that, right?

But what about leadership programs??? Is buying an online leadership course worth it?

Well yes... AND no.

I personally invested in a ton of leadership developing training while working on the LAPD, as well as outside my career when it comes to leading in business and leading myself.

I got A LOT from some of the good ones, and wasted a whole ton of time in the crappy ones...

Even though I guess I learned what NOT to do with those.

So the answer is...

Yes if you make SURE that it has the 3 things BEFORE you sign up.

Speaking in "public" can be a little nerve racking.

Do you know what happens if you keep saying yes to everyone?

Being a "yes" person for a long time had my life being controlled by other people.

I couldn't say "no" because I felt like I was always letting them down when I did.

Here's the thing though... Did you know you are always saying no?

When you're saying YES to something, you must be saying no to something else.

Often times I find I just don't slow down to think about who or what I was actually say NO to.

Every time I was saying yes to take on something, I was saying no to everything else I could be doing at that time.

That means spending time with my family, working on my business, developing my leadership.

It's not a big deal if no one is asking you to do things.

But if you're the "go to" person (and we all know you are), it starts to become all consuming.

And it doesn't get easier just knowing what I shared with you above.

It takes learning a new skill, one that I want to teach you inside this video.
