"My experience with it has been so impactful in terms of focusing my efforts and my attention on the value of service, the value of doing something for other people, not just because they need it, but because that begins the cycle of being the change you want to see in the world." -John Cerqueira
Three months after graduation, John Cerqueira moved to New York to work in the iconic Twin Towers. John lives like a normal young man- touring the town, going to work, getting injured, watching a game, and worrying about the right clothes. But after living through that nightmare on September 11, 2001, he learned that there is more to life than these. Sometimes, we get so used to our daily hustling that we forget that our life still has a purpose. Listen in as John relates the horrifying events of that day, why he chose to help even if his life is endangered, and the lessons he learned about priorities, servitude, and healing from trauma.

Do you feel sick in your stomach whenever you speak before an audience? Many of us do, and sometimes when that happens we think that we are not worthy of this privilege. However, it is good to remember that there are two types of speakers on a stage: those who were born speakers and those who were made for speaking.
Mike Acker is one of today's legendary speakers. He has been speaking for over 20 years, and has affected a myriad of individuals, companies, and institutions. With his speaking prowess, nobody would think Mike has speech impediment. His fear of speaking was so intense he suffered from psychosomatic fever when he spoke to an audience. In this episode, Ted and Mike share how their journey was like before they were able to develop full confidence as public speakers. From their stories you will learn how to overcome the paralyzing effect of fear, articulate your message better, and speak your real voice. Mike also shares how the weights we often carry affect how we show up on stage, and where to place those weights so that they serve us rather than weigh us down. As you prepare for your next speaking engagement, listen to these 3 simple tricks you can do to reduce pressure and give yourself an advantage on stage.

"All of that stuff that we think that we need to be happy… doesn't replace worthiness and love of self." -David Strickel
We are intuitive beings. We have an amazing mind that can transcend even the most inconceivable thoughts. Most of the time, however, we allow those thoughts to be quelled by the opinions of others. In doing so, we turn away from what truly makes us happy and fulfilled. This week, we will negate the popular belief that money equals happiness with The Stream's bestselling author, David Strickel. Ted and David talk about connecting to the source as channels, detuning ourselves from the negativities and lies we were forced to believe, and allowing ourselves to create and achieve more. We were given the gift to keep expanding, but we can only do that by giving ourselves the luxury of silence. Tune in and discover how to attract and manifest abundance in your life!
