Mark talks with Dr. Nathan Mertens who just finished his Doctoral degree program at University of Texas, Austin and is now off to Japan for a unique opportunity where he will be studying and researching at Kunitachi College of Music with Masato Kumoi. Ever wonder what to talk about with your instrument repairman or what steps to take when something is a little off?  Steven Georges contacted Mark off the challenge to come on the show with this very show idea.  Mark of course was glad to take the suggestion and learned quite a few tips and tricks along the way!

James Barrera from Long Beach State University in Long Beach, California and Orange County School of the Arts breaks out the Henry Lindeman Method and gives a detailed break down of the benefits of using this technique.  Hearing about this air and finger coordination and special care for our relaxed movements is encouraging me to revisit some of my own playing and teaching.  Enjoy!
