The body is our home. It’s the place where our energy resides. When you close your eyes, can you feel the rhythm and flow created by the breath? Are you aware of the fluids rushing through your veins? Can you notice the hairs on your skin rise and fall? Our body deserves our attention and gratitude for without it we would not be able to experience this human existence.

The body is a temple that holds the most sacred thing on earth – your energy, your spirit, your soul.

Our body is a structure. Starting off with the skeleton, then the muscles, sinews, and organs. Moving to the veins, arteries, nervous system, the brain, and skin. The layering of the body is complex and yet somehow it works simply and efficiently to always bring itself back to homeostasis, not matter what we throw at her. (Within reason)

My guest today is Carla Doherty, and she hails all the way from Dublin. Carla is somewhat of a daughter to me. We meet online via Instagram, and we instantly loved one another.

Carla has worked very closely with tracking her cycle to understand her body better. Her journey is like mine. We both understood that we needed to gain knowledge to make informed decisions about our health instead of blindly taking pills prescribed by our doctors to manage fertility, menstrual issues and for me, menopause.

We also share the same love of following the moon cycle and tapping into the many esoteric values this pathway offers. A lot of teachings around the moon and menstruation would have us believe that bleeding on the New Moon is a must. However, both Carla and I have no connection to bleeding on the New Moon as we bleed closer to the Full Moon.

For us, the moon is very personal. When we understand the phases of the moon and the moon herself, we can truly tap into our inner world, our feelings, our energy, and emotions.

On the eve of the Full Moon in Scorpio Lunar eclipse I would love you to consider what areas of your life need transitioning. Can you enter that quiet space and pause for a while and see what arises? Are you considering moving away from the pill or going on the pill? Do you want to leave your current job and seek out another one? Have you started University only to realise your subjects are all wrong? Are you in a relationship and you know it’s not working? It is never too late to ask these questions nor act to change them.

The Full Moon in Scorpio is the most intense of all the Full Moons and its energy will help you to examine the details of your life that need to change. There will be emotional energy that arises, and you will need to sit with those emotions. There are many tools you can access to help navigate these emotions and release them. The key in working with this energy is to be willing to feel. This Full Moon eclipse requests us to lay down our analytical mind.

It reminds us that when we analyse our feelings, we only prolong them.
