  • 692: MLB playoffs looking fun, no home for Dez, be change Corey wants you to be, George Kurtz, and more...
The Carton and Friends gang, sans Carton, open the second hour of the program talking about the excitement for the MLB playoffs, including what Gabe thinks will be a cool matchup between the Rockies and Brewers. Gabe wonders if Dez Bryant is "NFL-ready" and he doesn't have a team yet, and Corey explains Dez is waiting on the Cowboys to bring him back. Looking at the NBA, Gabe finds it interesting that as great as LeBron is, not many players are lining up to play with him in Los Angeles, but yet more want to play with guys like Kevin Durant. Corey's advice for Dez is to be the change he wants in the offense, and the gang takes Corey's advice to new levels. George Kurtz joins the program to talk about the Yankees' Wild Card choice of Luis Severino, and how the idea is to have J.A. Happ go against the Red Sox if they get past the Athletics; the gang also talks about how the rest of the MLB playoff teams outside the Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers are flying under the radar. Over to the NFL, Gabe talks about how Odell Beckham Jr. may be overly emotional and flashy, but he is a good teammate.

  • 691: NL Wild Card recap, AL Wild Card preview, NHL begins tonight, and more...
Gabe Morency, Corey Parsons, and Michelle Serpico, open the show with Gabe saying after the Rockies big win over the Cubs, whoever wins this year's World Series will truly have to earn it, thinking there is no clear cut favorite. One of the biggest storylines from the NL Wild Card was how the Rockies played in three different cities in three days, and how the umpires blew an easy call of a double-play in the top of the 8th inning. Going over the the AL Wild Card, the gang tries to explain how the Athletics plan to use their bullpen, much like the Tampa Bay Rays, as per their starters going against Luis Severino and the Yankees; Corey says he's confident in Severino, but also worries about his last few games, especially one against the Athletics where he got clobbered. Gabe gets excited for pucks dropping tonight in the NHL, and tries to question Corey and Michelle's knowledge on current players for the Islanders and Rangers. The NBA is about to kick off, and the gang talks about how Kobe's non-flinch at Matt Barnes turned out to be a lie. Gabe explains that unlike the NBA, the MLB Playoffs field every team that can win the World Series.

  • 690: NL Wild Card, Lester adventures, UFC 229, legal streaming, best and worst World Series match-ups, Week 5 lines, and more...
The Carton and Friends gang open the final hour of the program with Gabe saying he will trust Jon Lester, making his 22nd playoff start tonight against the Rockies, over any other pitcher in this year's playoffs. Gabe wishes UFC 229 would be fought in New York, but also acknowledges it's better off since Conor McGregor can't come to New York without smashing stuff; Gabe also says that McGregor is in a good place physically and mentally, coming in to this fight. The high cost of UFC pay-per-views has the gang questioning how to "legally" stream UFC 229\. The gang thinks the most intriguing and "cool" World Series match-up would be the Dodgers and Yankees, while the most annoying would be the Red Sox and Cubs, and the most boring going to the Braves and Athletics. Looking ahead to Week 5, Gabe looks at the betting lines in the powerhouse match-up between the Chiefs and the Jaguars. The gang tips their cap to Ernie Johnson, who will be missing the TBS MLB playoff coverage as he deals with blood clots.

  • 689: NHL upon us, Canadiens are the Knicks, Conor vs. Khabib, hockey or MMA, and more...
Gabe, a big NHL fan, opens the program talking about the NHL season opening this week, calling the Canadiens the "Knicks of the NHL," and also tells Michelle why so many women crush on hockey players. Looking at UFC 229, Gabe plays a game where Corey and Michelle have to distinguish athlete names as to who is a hockey player, and who is an MMA fighter. Looking at the start of the NBA coming up next week, Corey and Gabe argue if Brad Stevens can get the Celtics over the Eastern Conference hump. Gabe answers a caller who asks about the Yankees starter for the Wild Card, with the guys thinking it should be between Masahiro Tanaka or J.A. Happ. Michelle's social update includes a story of how Travis Kelce responded to Broncos fans flipping him off during last night's game. Gabe question's the future career of Jameis Winston, thinking he is not the guy for the Bucs, or any NFL team.

  • 688: Mahomes a stud, MLB playoffs begin, Gabe's Little League freak out, #NCAAgate, and more...
Gabe, Corey, and Michelle open the program talking about the Monday night game, with Corey calling Pat Mahomes a stud QB, unlike Jared Goff, who is a glorified bus driver. Gabe was going to pick Athletics against the Yankees, but thinks he may join Corey's bandwagon and pick the Yankees; Corey cites that the October air in the Bronx helps the Yankees in their quest for 28\. The gang questions Gabe's gambling ethics, as he freaked out over a bet involving the Little League World Series. Thinking what a train wreck the Brett Kavanaugh hearings turned out to be, Gabe talks about his possible run in politics, starting with an investigation in to NCAA as a whole, between the Baylor investigation, college basketball issues, and a Tennessee St. football player collapsing on the sidelines of a game this past week. From a betting perspective, Gabe and Corey like the idea of taking the Cubs over the Rockies in the NL Wild Card game tonight.

  • 687: Corey's new NL team, Chiefs playoff history, Yanks Wild Card meet-up, and Carton's big announcement...
Carton and Friends open the final hour of the show with Corey picking his new National League team, the Atlanta Braves, getting to the World Series; Carton tells him to put his money where his mouth is, and the guys also make fun of Corey for picking another favorite team. Going over to football, the guys question if the Chiefs, who look like a strong AFC champion candidate, will once again fall apart, with Craig citing that the Chiefs have not won a playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium since 1994\. Speaking of playoffs, the gang gets excited about the Yankees' Wild Card game on Wednesday against the Athletics. Gabe talks about his time owning a race horse, Conflict Diamond, and how the best way to scare someone is by steering them into horse racing. To end the show, Carton announces that he will be off the show for at least the next two months, as he gets ready for his trial at the end of the month. Gabe will take over lead host on Carton and Friends.

  • 686: Carton's issue with Ventra's TNF wager, College game picks, Marconi award winners, remembering the Big East, and more...
To start the second hour of the show, Carton, Corey, Michelle, and Gabe talk with Chris Ventra after Carton expresses some concern with a wager he made in last night's game; Carton gives Ventra a $100 parlay to use over the weekend. Carton and the gang go over some college football games going on tomorrow, including Notre Dame vs. Stanford and the big one, Penn St. vs. Ohio St. The crew looks at the winners of the 2018 Marconi Awards (best in radio) including New York's Angie Martinez and ESPN's Dan Patrick; Carton preps his team to win a Marconi for 2019\. Carton gets somber after reading about an LSU basketball star, Wayde Sims, being gunned down at a restaurant; Carton tells a story of how former Georgetown and NBA great, Alonzo Mourning, was indirectly involved in a drug raid in 1996, after a friend of his, a known drug dealer, was arressted while Mourning was playing video games. The gang reminisces about Big East basketball, and how their conference put college basketball in the national spotlight. Michelle's social update includes a story of how a woman tweeted out that she saw former NFL wide receiver, Eric Decker, out with other women, and also loved Decker's response, saying "the only club I go to is The Mickey Mouse Club."

  • 685: Thursday night recap, Goff's success, CC is "for you, bitch", Amazon Prime women get buried, and more...
Carton and Friends, Corey, Michelle, and Gabe, open the show recapping what Carton and Gabe said would be a high-scoring affair between the Rams and the Vikings. The gang argues if Jared Goff, whom Troy Aikman once thought could not even throw a ball, is truly becoming a great quarterback, or if he is, as Corey says, a product of the Rams' system. Looking at the Yankees vs. Rays game, the gang salutes CC Sabathia for missing out on a $500,000 bonus for getting to a certain amount of innings, after he hit a Rays player in retaliation from an earlier hit-by-pitch incident; the guys go on to question if the Yankees will put Masahiro Tanaka against the Athletics in the Wild Card game, in hopes that J.A. Happ will pitch against Boston, knowing he is a Red Sox killer. Even though it was very hard to find, the gang reviews the Amazon Prime broadcast done by Hannah Storm and Andrea Kremer, and Carton can't stand the stunt done by the NFL, Fox, and Amazon. The gang finishes the hour talking about the Rams' male cheerleader, Chris Conte hoping to see a player get stiff-armed in the Rams-Vikings game, and Gabe giving solid reviews for a bar in the Secaucus train station.

  • 684: Wild Card merchandise, Ohio St. vs. Penn St., CBS hypocrisy, and more...
Carton and Friends open the final hour of the show with Corey saying he has no problem with someone buying him Yankees playoff gear, as long as it is bought before the Wild Card game. The gang looks at the big Ohio St. vs. Penn St. game, but can't get past the fact that both programs have been swirled in controversy surrounding the safety of women and children. Since they were on the subject of scumbags, the guys talk about how Les Moonves banned Janet Jackson music after her Super Bowl "costume malfunction," finding it ironic now that Moonves is being investigated for sexual assault. Although the story about Tiger Woods winning the PGA Championship is great, Gabe reminds people that Tiger is not a nice person, and his only "redemption" is from cheating on his wife and using pain pills. Michelle's social update includes a story about a Tennessee high school athletic director being put on leave after saying "women are to blame for everything," and Carton and Gabe can only picture Donald Trump standing up for this guy.
