Concerned Veterans for America Executive Director Mark Lucas issued the following statement regarding President Trump’s nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court:

“Anyone who celebrates freedom should be pleased that President Trump has nominated someone who so deeply respects our Constitution. Judge Gorsuch is an originalist in his interpretation of the law, in the spirit of the framers and the late Justice Scalia. Throughout his career, Gorsuch has argued against vague interpretations of statutes which allow federal agencies to remain unaccountable to citizens. His concern for the least fortunate is evidenced by his countless opinions against things like over-regulation and over-criminalization. Gorsuch has fought to keep the power of the law in the hands of the American people. As veterans who fought and sacrificed to defend American freedom, we strongly support the nomination of Judge Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.”

Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) continues to fight for Judge Neil Gorsuch's confirmation to the Supreme Court of the United States. Veterans who swore an oath to protect the Constitution in uniform are especially passionate about this fight.

CVA is currently working to mobilize 3.2 million activists to put pressure on lawmakers to support and confirm Judge Gorsuch. CVA's grassroots efforts include a combination of direct mail, phone calls and door-to-door visits across the nation.
