Rocki had the pleasure of meeting Abby Powell, Director of Business Development for the Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance. They spent time discussing the implementation of the Springfield Master Plan. It's a wonderful conversation about growth and opportunity in the 217!

Description

In an effort to help connect businesses with high school and college students seeking summer employment or internships, the Chamber's Spring Job Fair will feature a special time to focus on a Youth Job Fair which will take place from 12:30 - 2:30 pm.  There will also be a traditional Job Fair from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.  Both components of the Job Fair will be held at the Crowne Plaza Springfield Convention Center.

The Youth & Traditional Job Fairs will be promoted via print, radio, and social media extensively to bring quality candidates in front of employers for both fairs. The Chamber is also working with Sangamon County schools districts and local colleges to spread the word to students.

The Chamber's Job Fair has historically provided members the opportunity to meet quality candidates for openings in their businesses and organizations.
