  • Brett Kavanaugh closer to the SC, Viet Nam vet kills injures 6 officers
The 45th's nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to a lifetime seat on the U.S. Supreme Court cleared an important procedural hurdle on Friday when the Senate voted to limit debate on the controversial nominee. The Republican-controlled Senate voted 51-49 final vote on Kavanaugh's confirmation on Saturday. However there was no guarantee senators will go the same way on the final vote.  One wavering Republican senator, Susan Collins of Maine, voted yes on Friday but said she would announce her final decision later in the day. Another key senator, Jeff Flake of Arizona, who has been a prominent critic of Mr Trump and steps down in January, also voted yes, but it is unclear if his mind is now set. Mr Manchin, the only Democrat to have voted for Mr Kavanaugh, is facing re-election next month in West Virginia, a state which Mr Trump won comfortably in the 2016 presidential election. Mr Kavanaugh's nomination stoked controversy and bitter political debate after he was accused of sexual assault by three women, something he strongly denied. Sgt. • Brett Kavanaugh's FBI investigation is over a day early, 1300 turn cruise sexy
At the behest of the Senate Judiciary Committee, the 45th directed the FBI to look into any allegations against Kavanaugh after the emotionally-charged hearing. The White House specifically requested the FBI to interview four people: Kavanaugh’s high school friends Mark Judge and P.J. Smyth; Leland Keyser, who Ford claimed was at the party where the alleged incident took place; and Ramirez, whose attorneys provided a list of more than 20 additional witnesses to interview. The FBI's probe, which was limited in time and scope, wrapped up late Wednesday and was delivered to the White House. • Kavanaugh's, Ed Whelan trouble, another mass shooting, NY Pub & Bar racist ?
A leading ally of Brett Kavanaugh has, based on a hunch, claimed a woman who accused the Supreme Court nominee of assaulting her in high school likely mixed up the federal appeals court judge with a classmate. Then he posted photos of the classmate, his Facebook profile, and the location of his high school home. In a Twitter thread on Thursday evening, Ed Whelan, the president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, engaged in some amateur sleuthing to suggest that Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at a house party more than three decades ago, might be confusing him with another alum of Georgetown Prep, the prestigious D.C. high school that Kavanaugh attended. Whelan offered scant evidence for the charge beyond Kavanaugh’s ostensible resemblance to the classmate and a comparison of the floor plan of the house in which the classmate lived to Ford’s description of events at the party. An Irish bar in upstate New York is being slammed as racist after posting a lengthy dress code in their window.

  • @ 2 The FBI investigation against BK is a joke? De Vos' protects sex abusers
The FBI appears to be preparing to bring the limited investigation of Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations against nominee Brett Kavanaugh to a rapid conclusion, limiting the delay negotiated Friday by Sen. Jeff Flake and setting the stage for a confirmation vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination this week. A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, said that a floor vote on Kavanaugh would not take place on Monday even if the FBI investigation concludes Monday morning because the Senate’s rules for invoking cloture require several days’ delay. “If the [FBI’s] report comes in today,” Stewart said, “Leader [McConnell] could file cloture, setting up a Wednesday cloture vote, and Thursday confirmation.”The deal brokered by Flake called for a cloture vote no later than this Friday. But word that the FBI could finish the review by Monday morning — and the Sunday night dissemination of a memo by the Arizona prosecutor who questioned Ford during last week’s hearing — stoked fear among Democrats that a rushed confirmation vote could follow close behind.

Vontae Davis retired at halftime of Sunday’s Bills-Chargers game, saying, he realized “Football is not for me” anymore in the second quarter and that he had become an outsider in the game he’d long loved. Over the years, he’d done what almost all football players do: he played through injuries, he did what was best for the team. He released a statement  a couple of hours after the game, saying it wasn’t “how I pictured retiring from the NFL” but that while he was on the field it “hit me hard and fast: I shouldn’t be out there anymore.”  Now that the Dallas Mavs ugly  investigation is over, Mark Cuban has donated 10 million $$ to various #METOO organizations avoiding a smaller fineby the NBA Commish Silver  of 2.5 Million$$ and/or suspension. Day 500.  Colin Kaepernick has been effectively banned from the NFL because of his peaceful protests against police brutality and systemic racism in the United States. While he became a legend and a cult hero for millions of people, taking a knee during the national anthem appears to have completely cost him his career.
