  • @ 2 ML and Mr. Kennedy 13 kids, MSU fallout, GOP Where is their Credibility?
The preacher uncle of the 13 kids found imprisoned and starving in their filthy California home wants to adopt the brood — but authorities first want to question him about whether he knew his brother and sister-in-law were allegedly abusing their kids, according to reports. Dr. Randy Turpin — brother to accused dad-from-hell David Turpin — says he’d take care of the 13 abused kids, according to CBS News. But Randy’s past is raising questions for investigators, the outlet reported. He authored the 2016 book “21 Days of Prayer and Fasting,” which promises to “help bring a person to a place of personal freedom.” Mattie Larson, the 2010 U.S. national champion on floor exercise, said she was only a toddler when Nassar allegedly began assaulting victims, and she struggles to understand how the abuse went on for so long. "I want to find out how this could have possibly happened. He shouldn't have been in my life," she said. Larson's attorney, John Manly, called for a "full-blown investigation" of Karolyi Ranch. "The ranch was put forth by USA Gymnastics as this amazing place where gold medalists were made," Manly said on "GMA" this morning. "But in fact if you believe the allegations of these women, which I do, it was a house of horrors."

"We turn him into a Thanksgiving parade float, he's jolly, larger than life and he makes us feel good," Theoharis says. "We've turned him into a mascot. "Many people vaguely know that King opposed the Vietnam War and talked more about poverty in his later years. But King also had a lot to say about issues not normally associated with civil rights that still resonate today, historians and activists say. If you're concerned about inequality, health care, climate change or even the nastiness of our political disagreements, then King has plenty to say to you. To see that version of King, though, we have to dust off the cliches and look at him anew. • @ 2 Mother Love & Mr. Kennedy, #Time's Up, More Everyday, Bat Crap Madness
Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination that violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Title VII applies to employers with 15 or more employees, including state and local governments. It also applies to employment agencies and to labor organizations, as well as to the federal government. Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individual's employment, unreasonably interferes with an individual's work performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment. Sexual harassment can occur in a variety of circumstances, including but not limited to the following: The victim as well as the harasser may be a woman or a man. The victim does not have to be of the opposite sex.The harasser can be the victim's supervisor, an agent of the employer, a supervisor in another area, a co-worker, or a non-employee.The victim does not have to be the person harassed but could be anyone affected by the offensive conduct.Unlawful sexual harassment may occur without economic injury to or discharge of the victim. The harasser's conduct must be unwelcome. "I think every president, and every vice president, should have an annual physical," says New York University bioethicist Arthur Caplan. "We do need to know that the individuals holding those jobs are capable of carrying out the functions."It's really about being mindful about his ability to do the job, not some ideologically driven vehicle to potentially get rid of him.
