Welcome friends! This is the first episode of the Motherhood Metamorphosis. In this episode I answer all the who/what/when/where/why questions of the podcast.
I discuss how the idea of The Motherhood Metamorphosis came to be, what to expect from the podcast, and who the primary and secondary audiences are. This is a solo episode but I will typically have interviews with amazing and inspiring guests.
Here is the link to the surfing story I read on the episode. It was written by Ryan Kuja
As I am a complete newbie and got very excited, I left out some key details, like WHO I AM!
Hi. I'm Brittany Meng. I'm a wife of 15+ years and a mom to 5 kids: 4 boys and a girl. My oldest boys are twins. My youngest baby was born in England when we were stationed with the Air Force. I've experienced c-sections, unmedicated VBAC, an epidural birth, NICU stays...the whole range of birth experiences.
I am passionate about mental health and have shared my experiences with anxiety and depression in writing.
I am also passionate about growth, both for my children and for myself. I have struggled along the path of motherhood and have climbed some pretty tall mountains (miscarriage, Learning disabilities, Autism diagnosis, ADHDx3 kids, IEPs, Anxiety, depression, moving, loss of career, and more) and am passionate about sharing my journey in order to provide a smoother path, or at least a shoulder to lean on, as you walk your journey.
I love Jesus and asking questions. I welcome faith stories here, although this is not a Christian podcast.
I've been a writer for pretty much my whole life and a blogger for about 12 years.
