The Motif with Petula Beckles

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” 2 Timothy 3:1 Aren’t they here? The same is said to be ever present within the music industry. With a dire thirst for ministry and evangelism in music, Jenise La Vonne sets the tone for a new era. Blending the sounds of contemporary gospel, and contemporary Christian all while being rooted in the traditional gospel message, Jenise LaVonne’s sound and mission for her music is undeniably EVANGELISTIC; for it seeks to minister to the soul.

As God would have it, Jenise met and began work with Tarence Farrell of Levite Music mid 2011. Since then, the two have begun production on her forth coming album, For This Time. With musical influences ranging from Dorothy Dandridge, and Tina Turner, to Vickie Winans, and John P. Kee, her debut album is expected to inspire, uplift, influence, and most of all minister. With powerful vocals and enlightening lyrics there is no doubt that Jenise La Vonne is and will continue to be a trail blazer in the music industry. Introducing, Jenise La Vonne.

Angel-Monique, was born Angel-Monique Shontielle Davis, on July 1st, 1982. Angel-Monique began singing at an early age in the 1990’s with the Daughter of Zion children’s choir, “Shining Stars”. From those tender years, she grew to love gospel music all the more, which was nurtured by Christian family values.

Those values led her to singing in childhood groups, where she began to find her own voice. She then went on to high school and enrolled in chorus and band. During her high school years, Angel-Monique fully uncovered a unique gift of emulating the same sound of various artists that she would study, in order to perform at different events for school and church. Between chorus and singing in her youth choir at church, she learned how to utilize the fullness of her vocals and truly fell in love with the sounds of music.

Presently, she is one of the lead vocalists in her church’s outstanding Praise Team. Angel-Monique was very hesitant and fearful about accepting the call to do music professionally, because she felt unworthy to be included among those in the gospel ministry. Once the opportunity presented itself again, still hesitant, she remembered a conversation that she had with her mother, while contemplating an important decision. Her mother told her, “God uses imperfect people to do a perfect work.” Those were the words that quieted her thoughts and soothed her spirit.

Join us as She talks with host Petula Beckles about how God has used her to do a good thing.

Born and raised in Detroit, MI, John Bidden has been serving God as a worship leader since 1999. Developing worship training workshops for music ministries called “Davidic Apostolic Sound of the House”, John teaches and empowers churches how to develop and sustain their own distinct sound for God’s presence!

Sparked by a prophetic demand and love for creating music, John stepped out into the forefront as an independent artist. Notably, he has sung background for recording artist Shana Wilson since 2007. John Bidden, a young man with a strong passion for praise and worship, released his maxi single EP in June of 2012 entitled “I AM FREE”. In June of 2014 John debuted his single "DRY BONES'" a song with a prophetic edge that fuses both CCM and contemporary gospel genre of music.  John ministers with a fresh and innovative worship style that will transform you right into the presence of the Lord.

Each of our members has been hand-picked from various Seventh-day Adventist Churches within the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.  We are young people dedicated to promoting Christian behavior and lifestyle.

We have accepted the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19, 20:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

Our spiritual endeavor is to draw others to Christ through our Ministry.  Daily we strive for spiritual growth, and guidance and an increased desire to let Jesus be the Lord of our lives.
