This week we look at Galatians 2:11-14. Paul demonstrates his authority and commitment to the one true gospel by opposing the Apostle Peter and rebuking his conduct as "out of step with the truth of the gospel." From the text we are encouraged to:

1) Seek the Spirit examining how we are out of step with the truth of the gospel

2) Surround ourselves and seek true gospel friendships that are centered on the Scriptures and the gospel above all, who will lovingly help us live in step with the gospel

This week we look at Galatians 2:1-10. In this passage Paul describes his authority and gospel being affirmed and endorsed by the church leaders in Jerusalem. From the text we see that all those in Christ have been entrusted with the gospel for the sake of others.

We continue our study through the book of Galatians this week looking at Galatians 1:11-24. From the text we see that Jesus is the true acting agent in our salvation. We are chosen, called, and sent for a purpose.

We continue our study through Paul's letter to the churches of Galatia looking at Galatians 1:6-10. From the text we see that there is no other gospel. If anything is added to the message of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, it is no longer the gospel.

Happy Easter! On Easter Sunday we began a new study through Paul's letter to the churches of Galatia. We examined Paul's introduction, greeting, and blessing in Galatians 1:1-5. We also introduced and worked through these 5 questions that will be used to frame and guide every sermon through Galatians. We pray these questions will be a helpful tool in equipping the church as students of the Bible.

1. What does the text say?

2. What does the text mean?

3. How do we naturally resist it?

4. How is Jesus the hero? How did He accomplish or do the thing we naturally resist?

5. How does that empower me to obey what it says and means?

This week we examine Colossians 3:16 looking at the importance of singing. Christians are commanded to sing as the Word of Christ dwells in them richly with thankfulness in their hearts to God.

In our final week through our study through the book of Judges, we look at Judges 21:1-25. The story points to our need for compassion and for someone to rescue us from our peril. Jesus is our compassionate elder brother who moved to rescue us so that we were not cut off.

We continue our study through the book of Judges looking at Judges 20:1-48. From the passage we see that we are in need of a savior to save us from the wrong kind of justice.

We continue our study through the book of Judges, looking at one of the darkest, most disturbing chapters in the Bible - Judges 19:1-30. Although this is a outrageous and horrendous story, the gospel provides hope. God has grace and forgives great sinners like us.

We continue our study through the book of Judges, looking at Judges 18:1-31. From the story we see that if we have Jesus, we have everything we need. He is supremely secure and satisfying.
