Often during difficult times, we question where God is in that situation, and it can seem difficult to understand what His plan is for us. In today's episode, we discuss dealing with the tension of going through a storm and looking for Jesus in the midst of that. We get real about the tension of being a part of an organization that is pioneering something new, and how to handle conflict in relationships.

We hope this conversation encourages you to lean into the idea of embracing tension and having difficult conversations in the pursuit of unity. If you're in the middle of a storm, we want you to know that Jesus is there with you, and wants you to come out the other side of it with a new perspective for who He is!

We know there are a lot of questions right now around the vaccine. Is it safe? Has it been rushed? Why are we under such strict lockdown? We thought it was important to dig deep into these questions and have a discussion with someone from the medical community who has extensive knowledge around the creation of the vaccine, as well as the science behind the severity of the virus. We know that there is so much negativity in this season, but our hope in having this conversation is to help inform those who are willing to be challenged and see things from a medical perspective.

In this episode, we dive into the Christmas story and the reality that Mary was a very young girl who encountered some exceptional difficult situations early in the birth of Jesus. Carrying a baby as a young teen out of wedlock would have come with a large amount of pressure and stress.  

Mary has been given a promise of giving birth to the Messiah, but sometimes it can be really easy to look at the situation and think that the promise that we had given in the past wasn't going to happen. But when we're obedient and hold on to the promise that God gives us, we can receive unexplainable confidence and joy in that promise.

Today we dug into the story of Zachariah as a continuation of Sunday's message. As a man who was blameless before God, even he questioned when the Angel appeared to him and told him he would have a son.  

Contextually, Zachariah and Elizabeth were over 60 years old at this point, and in their time barrenness was believed to be a sign that God was punishing them. Imagining the shame and heartbreak they had experienced, it would be easy to second guess the message the Angel delivered. The reality is that Zachariah as a priest from the tribe of Levi would have known the story of Abraham and Sarah, but it was difficult for him to believe God would want that for him.  

This season has been one of shaping and growth, and the reality is that there may be moments of silence. But our hopes for this conversation is that you are encouraged to place your confidence, your unwavering trust, in God who is ALWAYS faithful to see you through even your biggest difficulties.

Today we get raw. We discuss the reality that there are people struggling with loss this Christmas. We had the absolute privilege of baptizing 4 people this past Sunday as part of our online experience. In this season where we can't meet in person, this truly was a special moment for us as baptism is a public declaration of choosing to follow Jesus. We heard 4 amazing stories and one of them was from someone who had never been inside of our building but had come across our experience because of a share on social media.

The reality is that we don't know everyone who is engaging with us online in this season, but it's stories like this that truly show the power of a share.
