How do you know when it may be time for you to leave your church?

In this video, we get vulnerable and share some of our experiences with you and some lessons that we learned. We also talk about some signs that we have seen and what you should look for when considering whether it may be time for you to leave your church.

There's been a lot of pain at the hands of the church. Many people have walked away from the church, or even their faith in God, as a result of the pain that they experienced by people in church leadership.  In today's experience, we break down the warning signs around spiritual abuse, and how to avoid it. 

Often you will hear the statement 'the Church hurt me', but more often than not its individuals, not the Church itself, that hurts peoples. The reality is that hurt people hurt people, and so we wanted to tackle this subject in a way that empowers you to walk in health and wholeness in your faith.

In today's episode, we break down the decision to keep our building closed during this season, and pivot to leaning into creatively engaging with people remotely. It hasn't always been the easiest decision, but it has helped prevent prolonged fatigue from constant change and has allowed us to really evaluate how we lead in the next 5 years. How we lead in this season will determine how we lead in the future.

In a post-Christian world, there's a misconception that the church isn't necessary, and a weird group of people. In today's episode, we speak with some of our students about how they interpret the church, and some of the conversations they have with the people they are connected to. It really is eye-opening to hear what people think the church is and helps inform how we engage with people who have never experienced what church and faith are all about.
