'The Devil All the Time' has a lot to offer. The acting is fantastic, it is directed very well, and the production value is exceptional. Unfortunately, the story went nowhere and it failed to engage.

On the surface, 'To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar' (1995) might seem like a gimmick; cast three manly men (Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo) and have them act outrageous as a trio of drag queens on a road trip. This movie becomes so much more than that thanks to it's contagious positive message and three fantastic performances from the three leads.

Despite the low budget (and possibly because of it), The Outpost forgoes blockbuster action to focus on a more intimate war story. Incredible directing and fantastic acting all around make this a surprisingly moving film that deserves to be seen.

There's no denying that director Yorgos Lanthimos's style is an acquired taste. Even 'The Lobster', probably his best and most accessible movie, will only appeal to a specific audience.
