A holdover from #HalloweenWeek, I watched my very first Frank Henenlotter and the rest is history! History in this case = The Beginning, and The Beginning = I am pretty much a HenenlotterHead and I can't wait to watch Basket Case. Frankenhooker is a 1990 American (SATIRICAL!) black comedy horror film, VERY loosely inspired by Mary Shelley's 1818 novel Frankenstein starring James Lorinz as medical school drop-out Jeffrey Franken and former Penthouse Pet Patty Mullen as the title character (who wears a fatsuit in the beginning of the film).

I have reviewed 500 movies for this stupid show. I honestly can't believe it. Wanted something "special" for Movie Number 5-Hundo and settled on this old classic and guess what? It's an old classic (and I loved it!)... Sunset Boulevard is a 1950 American black comedy (?) film noir (I guess) directed and co-written by Billy Wilder, and stars William Holden as Joe Gillis, a struggling screenwriter, and Gloria Swanson as Norma Desmond, a former silent-film star who draws him into her demented fantasy world. It was named after a major street that runs through Hollywood, the center of the American movie industry. It's a goddam movie about the movies for heaven's sake and don't we just love THOSE.

And so it begins. I begin my descent into a gimmick I am calling #Neilvember - this is where I will be watching ALL 5 of NEIL BREEN'S FEATURE FILMS (duh). Beginning at the beginning, with none other than Double Down (2005). Here we go

An incredibly stupid horror that also isn't scary. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis (from a hospital bed the entire time!), Judy Greer (the only competent character/actor), Andi Matichak (the other daughter I mean granddaughter oh who the hell cares), James Jude Courtney (that's a' Michael!), Will Patton (also from hospital bed) and former child Anthony Michael Hall as "leader of the angry mob"

The scary movie for scaredy-cat kids who don't like scary movies, it's The Monster Squad, directed by Fred Dekker and starring notable names André Gower, Robby Kiger, Stephen Macht, Duncan Regehr, Stan Shaw, and Tom Noonan (Noonan rules btw)
