Midnight Mass is an American supernatural horror streaming television miniseries created and directed by Mike Flanagan and starring Zach Gilford, Kate Siegel, Hamish Linklater, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli and Henry Thomas. The plot centers on an isolated island community that experiences supernatural events after the arrival of a mysterious priest who is a vampire. It was released on Netflix. It's not a movie!

Watched 2 films about/on the late great musician Jason Molina who died tragically at the age of 39 in 2013 from organ failure brought on by alcoholism. The Road Becomes What You Leave, a short meditative look at life on the road, and Recording Josephine: Magnolia Electric Company at Electrical Audio, a 70-minute document of his band recording one of their final albums with Steve Albini in Chicago

Malignant is a 2021 American horror film directed by James Wan from a screenplay by Akela Cooper, based on an original story by Wan, Ingrid Bisu, and Cooper. The film stars Annabelle Wallis as a woman who begins to have visions of people being murdered, only to realize the events are happening in real life, oh! and also she had a parasitic monster twin chopped off as a kid only it can still control her brain and turn her into Neo from The Matrix!

Birdy is a 1984 American drama film based on William Wharton's 1978 novel of the same name. Directed by Alan Parker, it stars Matthew Modine and Nicolas Cage. Set in 1960s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the film focuses on the friendship between two teenage boys, Birdy (Modine) and Cage. The story is presented in flashbacks, with a frame narrative depicting their traumatic experiences upon serving in the Vietnam War but it's not really about that because basically Birdy was having sex with his pet canary well before the war. Calabasas 1/26/20 is a short film about a dense fog in the San Fernando Valley which cancels a meeting of UFO hunters and causes an unexpected tragedy in the nearby mountains.

Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain is a 2021 American documentary film directed and produced by Morgan Neville. It follows the life and career of, you guessed it, Anthony Bourdain.

The Myth of the American Sleepover is a 2010 American coming-of-age film written and directed by David Robert Mitchell. It Follows, a supernatural horror film, is his 2014 follow-up. I think they have a lot more in common with each other as well as with his most recent film (Under the Silver Lake, 2016) than it might initially seem.
